Commercial Analyst Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial analyst in Washington?
Most commercial analyst roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a quantitative field. Washington does not require a state-issued license for commercial analyst work, so hiring is credential-driven rather than board-regulated. Candidates who build proficiency in data tools, contract analysis, or pricing and pair that with experience in one of Washington's core industries, such as aerospace, technology, or healthcare, are most competitive.
Which companies hire commercial analysts in Washington?
Employers hiring commercial analysts in Washington right now include Okta, KeyBank, and FujiFilm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of aerospace primes, large technology firms, and regional health systems means demand is spread across sectors rather than dominated by a single industry.
Which Washington cities have the most commercial analyst jobs?
Seattle, Kent, and Lynden are the cities with the most commercial analyst openings in Washington. Seattle's density of technology companies and regional headquarters drives the largest share, while Bellevue and Redmond reflect Microsoft's campus footprint and the surrounding cluster of software and cloud employers that have grown alongside it.
Are there remote commercial analyst jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. Commercial analyst work is desk-based and largely deliverable-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 33% of commercial analyst openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with pricing and business intelligence roles showing the highest remote availability compared to contract-facing positions that require regular internal collaboration.
How can I get hired as a commercial analyst in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an analyst associate or business operations rotational program at one of Washington's large technology or aerospace employers. Boeing's early career finance programs and Microsoft's finance associate rotations are concrete starting points. Candidates moving laterally from sales operations, procurement, or financial planning roles are regularly considered. Building proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and one major CRM platform, alongside a portfolio of pricing or forecasting work, gives candidates without direct commercial experience a clear advantage.
Where can I find and apply to commercial analyst jobs in Washington?
