Align your portfolio with Adobe Firefly
Adobe's AI hiring prioritizes generative model experience. Before applying, restructure your portfolio to highlight work on diffusion models, multimodal systems, or content generation pipelines, the exact technical surface area Adobe's Firefly and Sensei teams are actively building on.
Target teams with active LCA filings
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Adobe's Labor Condition Applications filtered to software engineering roles. Teams with recent LCA activity signal active headcount and established sponsorship workflows, which reduces friction when your offer reaches the filing stage.
Clarify sponsorship scope before the final interview
Adobe sponsors multiple visa categories, so ask your recruiter early whether the role supports your specific visa type. Cap-subject H-1B timing and E-3 visa or TN processing differ significantly, and knowing which pathway applies shapes your start date negotiation.
Prepare credential documentation for specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for AI roles when the degree field doesn't directly map to the job description. Have transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and any graduate coursework in machine learning or computer science ready before your offer letter is issued.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open AI roles at Adobe
Filter by Senior AI Software Engineer and visa type on Migrate Mate to surface currently active Adobe postings that align with your sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to roles where the hiring team has already indicated sponsorship intent.
Time your H-1B registration around Adobe's offer cycle
Adobe typically recruits for senior engineering roles year-round, but H-1B cap registration opens each March for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, confirm whether Adobe will pursue cap-exempt filing or bridge your status with OPT or another category.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Senior AI Software Engineers?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Senior AI Software Engineer roles. Adobe is a registered H-1B employer and files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL as part of the petition process. For senior-level AI roles, USCIS will assess whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, so having clear documentation of your technical degree and role scope strengthens the petition.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly sponsor for Senior AI Software Engineer roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for qualifying Senior AI Software Engineer hires. Australian citizens are well-positioned to use the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and processes quickly. Canadian and Mexican nationals can pursue TN visa status under USMCA, often with faster timelines than H-1B.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for Senior AI Software Engineer roles?
Adobe's senior AI engineering roles typically require deep experience in machine learning, deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and production model deployment at scale. Experience with generative AI, large language models, or computer vision is particularly relevant given Adobe's Firefly and Sensei product lines. A graduate degree in computer science or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and the H-1B specialty occupation analysis.
How do I apply for Senior AI Software Engineer jobs at Adobe?
You can browse open Senior AI Software Engineer positions at Adobe directly through Adobe's careers site or use Migrate Mate, which filters Adobe's active roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm the role supports your visa type before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to Adobe's AI product areas, specifically generative models, multimodal systems, and content intelligence, and be prepared for a multi-round technical interview process covering system design and ML fundamentals.
How do I plan my timeline if Adobe sponsors my H-1B as a Senior AI Software Engineer?
If you're on F-1 OPT when Adobe extends an offer, confirm how much OPT time remains and whether a STEM OPT extension is available to bridge you through the next H-1B registration window. Adobe must submit your H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, USCIS adjudicates the petition over roughly three to five months, though premium processing can shorten that to 15 business days.
