Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Manufacturing Jobs at Aggreko Jobs
Frame Your Experience Around Field-Ready Skills
Aggreko's manufacturing hires typically support rental equipment deployment in the field, not traditional factory production. Highlight hands-on experience with generators, HVAC systems, or industrial power equipment when tailoring your resume and any technical assessments.
Verify Your Degree Aligns with Specialty Occupation Standards
H-1B eligibility for manufacturing roles requires USCIS to classify the position as a specialty occupation. Gather transcripts and credential evaluations showing your degree directly relates to mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering to strengthen your petition.
Target Aggreko Openings That Include Maintenance or Technical Operations
Aggreko posts manufacturing roles across service centers and project sites. Roles tied to equipment maintenance, commissioning, or technical operations carry stronger sponsorship precedent than purely administrative manufacturing titles, so filter your search accordingly using Migrate Mate.
Confirm OPT STEM Extension Eligibility Before Applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, check whether the specific Aggreko role qualifies under a STEM-designated SOC code. Rental equipment servicing and technical support roles often fall under engineering or electromechanical categories that support a 24-month STEM OPT extension.
Understand the TN Pathway for Canadian and Mexican Applicants
Aggreko sponsors TN visas, and Canadian nationals can present a TN application directly at a port of entry without advance USCIS filing. Prepare a support letter from Aggreko confirming your engineering or technologist title and job duties before traveling.
Clarify Sponsorship Intent Before Accepting an Offer
Once Aggreko extends an offer, confirm in writing which visa category they'll file and who manages the petition internally. For H-1B, ask whether they submit during the April cap season or file for cap-exempt or change-of-status scenarios, since timing affects your start date.

Does Aggreko sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Aggreko sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying manufacturing positions. Eligibility depends on whether the specific role meets USCIS specialty occupation criteria, which generally requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. Technical and engineering-focused manufacturing roles at Aggreko are more likely to clear that threshold than generalist operations titles.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Aggreko?
You can browse and apply for Aggreko manufacturing roles through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions open to visa sponsorship. Aggreko typically posts openings for field service technicians, equipment operators, and technical support roles. Applying through a platform that flags sponsorship-eligible listings saves time and reduces the risk of pursuing roles that won't support your visa status.
Which visa types does Aggreko commonly use for Manufacturing hires?
Aggreko sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas for manufacturing positions. H-1B is the most common path for degree-holding professionals seeking long-term status. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or technologist categories. OPT and CPT are options for students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from U.S. programs.
What qualifications does Aggreko expect for sponsored Manufacturing positions?
Aggreko's sponsored manufacturing roles typically require a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Hands-on experience with power generation equipment, HVAC systems, or industrial machinery is a strong differentiator, since Aggreko operates in the rental and temporary power sector. Field service experience and relevant certifications carry more weight than purely academic credentials for most of these roles.
How do I know if my visa status allows me to start before H-1B approval?
If you're on F-1 OPT and Aggreko files an H-1B petition on your behalf before your OPT expires, the cap-gap rule lets you maintain work authorization through September 30 of that year while USCIS processes the petition. Outside of OPT, you'd need an approved change of status or a current valid visa category to begin work. Confirm the exact timeline with Aggreko's HR team once an offer is in place.
