Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Compliance Jobs at AMETEK Jobs
Align your credentials to export control requirements
AMETEK's electronics and hardware portfolio means Compliance hires frequently work with EAR and ITAR regulations. Certifications like CUSECO or documented experience with export licensing strengthen your application and signal readiness to a compliance team that can't afford a learning curve.
Target AMETEK's business unit compliance openings
AMETEK operates dozens of differentiated businesses under one parent. Compliance roles often sit at the business unit level rather than corporate, so search specifically by division. A role tied to a defense-adjacent subsidiary will have stricter eligibility screens than a commercial electronics unit.
Clarify your OPT or CPT authorization during screening
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your work authorization dates early in the interview process. AMETEK's Compliance teams deal with audit cycles and project timelines, so hiring managers need confidence your authorization covers the full onboarding period before committing to a sponsorship filing.
Ask directly about the H-1B petition timeline
Once you have an offer, ask HR whether they file with USCIS standard processing or premium processing. For a Compliance role with a defined start date tied to an audit cycle or regulatory deadline, knowing the expected approval window lets you plan your transition without gaps in authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to surface AMETEK Compliance openings
AMETEK posts Compliance roles across multiple channels and business units, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for AMETEK Compliance positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're only investing time in applications where authorization is already on the table.
Prepare a compliance writing sample before interviews
AMETEK Compliance interviews often include a practical component around policy drafting or risk assessment. Having a sanitized writing sample from a previous role or academic project, such as a trade compliance procedure or ethics policy excerpt, demonstrates applied skill that a resume alone can't convey.

Find Compliance at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, AMETEK sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance positions. The company has a history of filing H-1B petitions for international professionals across its electronics and hardware businesses. Sponsorship is not automatic with every opening, so confirm authorization support directly with the recruiter during initial screening before investing time in the full interview process.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at AMETEK?
Apply through AMETEK's careers portal or search for open Compliance roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is available. Tailor your application to the specific business unit posting, since AMETEK's Compliance function varies by division. Highlight any export control, trade compliance, or ethics program experience relevant to electronics and hardware manufacturing.
Which visa types does AMETEK commonly use for Compliance hires?
AMETEK sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas for Compliance roles. H-1B is the most common long-term pathway for full-time positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are frequently used for candidates transitioning from graduate programs in law, business, or a compliance-adjacent field.
What qualifications does AMETEK look for in Compliance candidates?
AMETEK typically expects a background in law, business administration, or a field relevant to its regulated industries, combined with hands-on knowledge of export controls, trade sanctions, or corporate ethics programs. Familiarity with EAR or ITAR is a practical advantage given the electronics and defense-adjacent nature of many AMETEK business units. Professional certifications in compliance or ethics strengthen a candidacy noticeably.
How do I understand the timeline from offer to work authorization at AMETEK?
After an offer, AMETEK's legal or HR team initiates the sponsorship petition with USCIS. Standard H-1B processing takes several months, while premium processing can reduce that window significantly. If you're bridging from F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration and any available cap-gap coverage with the HR team before your start date, since compliance roles often have fixed onboarding periods tied to audit or training cycles.
