Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Finance Jobs at AMETEK Jobs
Align your credentials with AMETEK's finance focus
AMETEK hires Finance professionals to support manufacturing and hardware business units. Highlight experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, or capital expenditure modeling on your resume. These align directly with how Finance functions inside an industrial electronics company.
Target roles tied to business units
AMETEK operates dozens of divisions across its Electronic Instruments and Electromechanical segments. Finance postings tied to specific business units, rather than corporate shared services, often move faster through hiring because headcount approval happens at the division level.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility early
Finance roles at a hardware manufacturer can qualify under CIP codes for management science or quantitative disciplines. Confirm your degree program's STEM designation with your DSO before accepting an offer, since this determines whether you get 12 or 24 additional months of work authorization.
Ask about H-1B filing timelines during offer negotiation
USCIS's H-1B cap registration window opens in March. If your OPT expires before October 1, ask AMETEK's HR team early whether they'll support a cap-gap extension or file under a cap-exempt pathway, so you're not caught without work authorization between statuses.
Browse open Finance roles at AMETEK on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by visa sponsorship type, so you can surface AMETEK Finance openings that are open to H-1B, OPT, or TN candidates directly, without manually sifting through listings that won't lead anywhere.
Use DOL LCA disclosures to benchmark compensation
Before your salary negotiation, search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data for AMETEK Finance filings. LCA records show prevailing wage levels the company has committed to, giving you a realistic floor for what sponsored Finance roles have paid.

Find Finance at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, AMETEK sponsors H-1B visas for Finance positions. Finance roles at the company typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Sponsorship activity has occurred across both corporate and business unit Finance functions, though availability depends on the specific role and division.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at AMETEK?
You can apply through AMETEK's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters Finance postings at AMETEK by visa sponsorship type so you can focus only on roles open to international candidates. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect manufacturing or hardware industry finance experience, including areas like cost analysis, budgeting for capital programs, or financial reporting for operational business units.
Which visa types does AMETEK commonly use for Finance hires?
AMETEK has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for Finance roles. For recent graduates, OPT or CPT provides the entry point, with H-1B sponsorship following for longer-term employment. Canadian and Mexican nationals in Finance may be eligible for TN status under the USMCA, which offers a faster process than the H-1B cap lottery.
What qualifications does AMETEK typically expect for Finance roles?
AMETEK Finance roles generally require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, with a CPA or CFA being an advantage for senior positions. Practical experience in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, or management reporting is valued given the company's industrial manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ERP systems is common in their postings across business unit finance functions.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at AMETEK?
USCIS's H-1B cap registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, aim to have an offer from AMETEK in hand by February so there's sufficient time to complete the registration process. If you're selected in the lottery, AMETEK would then file your full H-1B petition. Cap-gap protection maintains your work authorization if your OPT expires during this window.
