Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Frame Your AI Sales Experience Precisely
Anthropic's hiring team evaluates whether you can sell to technical buyers in research and enterprise environments. Document deals involving AI, ML, or developer tooling specifically, generic SaaS experience is less compelling than proof you've navigated technical procurement cycles.
Target Roles Before Headcount Freezes Hit
Enterprise Account Executive openings at Anthropic reflect active pipeline growth. Apply during early hiring cycles rather than waiting for job postings to age, since sponsorship-eligible roles can close quickly when internal referrals fill seats ahead of external candidates.
Confirm Sponsorship Eligibility During Your Recruiter Screen
Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific role is approved for H-1B, H-1B1 visa, or E-3 sponsorship. Different account executive tracks or seniority tiers may have separate approval statuses, and confirming early prevents late-stage surprises after offer extension.
Align Your Resume to Specialty Occupation Standards
USCIS requires that H-1B roles qualify as specialty occupations needing a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. For an account executive role at an AI company, frame your background around technical domain expertise in science or research contexts, not just quota attainment.
Account for LCA Filing Before Your Start Date
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification of a Labor Condition Application before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition. Build at least two to four weeks of LCA processing time into any start date conversation with Anthropic's recruiting team.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring Employers
Finding enterprise sales roles that genuinely support visa sponsorship takes more than a keyword search. Use Migrate Mate to browse Enterprise Account Executive openings filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you're only spending time on roles that match your visa type.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Anthropic sponsor H-1B visas for Enterprise Account Executives?
Yes, Anthropic sponsors H-1B visas for Enterprise Account Executive roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing sponsorship petitions for this function, which reflects how it competes for international talent in the enterprise AI sales market. You should confirm the sponsorship status of the specific role and seniority level you're applying for during your initial recruiter conversation.
Which visa types does Anthropic commonly sponsor for Enterprise Account Executive roles?
Anthropic sponsors H-1B visas for this role category and also has a track record with H-1B1 visa and E-3 visas. The H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and the E-3 is exclusive to Australian citizens. If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 is worth pursuing as it avoids the H-1B lottery entirely and can be renewed indefinitely in two-year increments.
What qualifications or experience does Anthropic expect for Enterprise Account Executive candidates?
Anthropic typically looks for candidates who have sold complex technical products to enterprise or research organizations, with direct experience engaging procurement, legal, and technical stakeholders. Familiarity with AI or developer tooling is a differentiator. For visa purposes, your undergraduate degree should ideally align with a technical or business field, since USCIS evaluates whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation.
How do I apply for Enterprise Account Executive jobs at Anthropic?
Apply directly through Anthropic's careers page and filter for Enterprise Account Executive openings. In your application materials, highlight experience selling to technical buyers in research, software, or AI-adjacent industries. If you need visa sponsorship, indicate this clearly when the application asks. You can also browse current openings with sponsorship history on Migrate Mate before applying, which helps you confirm the role is actively sponsoring before you invest time in the process.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing an H-1B role at Anthropic as an Enterprise Account Executive?
If you need a new H-1B petition rather than a transfer, the standard cap-subject process requires registration in the March lottery for an October 1 start date, roughly seven months out. Cap-exempt transfers from another H-1B employer move faster. USCIS premium processing reduces adjudication to 15 business days for an additional fee. Build your job search timeline backward from these USCIS deadlines and communicate your availability window to Anthropic's recruiting team early.
