Position Overview
As a Senior Product Manager for Product Access, you'll lead the next-generation licensing services that power every Autodesk product—from desktop software to cloud APIs and AI-driven automation. This isn't maintenance work; you're enabling new business models that will fuel Autodesk's journey to $10 billion in revenue over the next 3 years. You'll enable product teams across the company to experiment with critical strategies like API and MCP monetization, and granular AI feature access, directly unlocking new revenue streams while ensuring secure, compliant, and flexible access for millions of users worldwide.
This role offers rare career-defining opportunities: high visibility reporting to senior leadership, greenfield product development, and the chance to solve complex problems at the intersection of AI, automation, and platform infrastructure. You'll work in a hybrid environment partnering with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to discover and ship solutions that shape product strategy across Autodesk's entire portfolio. If you're energized by agency, love turning strategic challenges into elegant solutions, and want to build the playbook for how an iconic software company evolves for the AI era—this is your opportunity to make massive impact.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, translating it into prioritized OKRs and a roadmap
- Present and promote your product strategy across the company to many audiences, from technical to executive-level leadership
- Collaborate across product teams, partner orgs, and key stakeholders to identify challenges and deliver effective solutions that are valuable, viable, feasible and work for Autodesk’s business
- Track and optimize solutions post-launch to ensure they deliver the expected impact
- Build empathy with product teams onboarding to Product Access services, identifying friction in the process, and proposing solutions to simplify and streamline their integrations
- Contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products
- Track industry trends and the competitive landscape
- Influence product teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders through storytelling, incorporating qualitative and quantitative data to craft clear, compelling stories about who my product is for, what problems it solves for them, and why it's important to our business
- Help develop product culture within the broader organization, including mentoring more junior product managers and driving process improvements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
- Demonstrated curiosity about—and use—of AI tools to make you and your team more effective at product development
- 8+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on platform
- Applicants with 8+ years of product development experience in roles like engineering, developer advocacy, data analysis, data engineering, customer support, experience design and/or data science are welcome to apply if part of that time was in a product management role
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative

Align your portfolio with Autodesk's product pillars
Autodesk organizes its PM roles around three core clouds: Architecture, Engineering and Construction; Design and Manufacturing; and Media and Entertainment. Framing your case studies around platform-scale, B2B, or CAD-adjacent products signals direct relevance to their hiring managers.
Clarify your visa category before applying
Autodesk sponsors multiple visa types, so knowing which category fits your background saves time on both sides. Australian citizens targeting the E-3 face a faster, lottery-free path than H-1B applicants, which is a material advantage worth flagging upfront in recruiter conversations.
Target roles that specify degree requirements explicitly
H-1B eligibility for PM roles hinges on specialty occupation status, which requires a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. Autodesk postings that list Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration as required fields are stronger sponsorship candidates than those listing broad or flexible degree preferences.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Autodesk PM roles by visa type
Not every open Product Manager position at Autodesk is attached to active sponsorship. Migrate Mate lets you filter roles by visa category so you're applying to positions already aligned with your work authorization situation, not chasing listings blindly.
Get your offer letter reviewed before signing
Once Autodesk extends an offer, confirm the start date accounts for Labor Condition Application certification with DOL and any USCIS processing time. Premium processing can compress H-1B timelines to around 15 business days, but standard processing adds months, and your start date needs to reflect that.
Document technical depth in your application materials
Autodesk's PM interview process typically includes product sense and technical execution rounds. For visa purposes, your resume should also demonstrate the specialized knowledge that supports a specialty occupation claim, using precise language about systems, APIs, or enterprise workflows rather than broad ownership statements.

Does Autodesk sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Autodesk sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. Because H-1B requires specialty occupation status, the strongest candidates have a directly related degree in fields like Computer Science, Engineering, or Business. Autodesk's size and established immigration infrastructure mean the internal process is relatively structured, though your start date will depend on whether premium processing is used.
Which visa types does Autodesk commonly use for Product Manager roles?
Autodesk sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for Product Managers, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 for qualifying exchange programs. Immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 are also available for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your citizenship, degree, and career stage.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Autodesk?
Applications go through Autodesk's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. To find positions already attached to visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you browse Autodesk's open Product Manager roles filtered by your specific visa type, so you're not wasting time on listings that don't match your work authorization situation.
What qualifications does Autodesk expect for Product Manager roles?
Autodesk typically looks for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, paired with hands-on product management experience in enterprise or platform software. For senior and principal roles, experience with B2B SaaS, developer tooling, or construction and manufacturing workflows is a strong differentiator. Technical fluency matters more here than at purely consumer-focused companies.
How do I plan my timeline if Autodesk sponsors my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, which means offers typically need to be in place by March. If you're on OPT, the 60-day grace period and OPT extension rules affect when you can start. USCIS premium processing shortens adjudication to around 15 business days, which Autodesk may elect depending on the urgency of the role.
