The Commercial Account Manager – Inflow & Infiltration is responsible for generating new orders by selling Azuria’s portfolio of I&I-focused engineering and construction services to municipal, utility, and industrial clients. This role is accountable for adding new clients and leveraging existing relationships to grow work specifically related to identifying, prioritizing, and correcting I&I and its detrimental impacts on wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities. The representative will achieve sales quotas through effective management of defined territories, and I&I programs, and will work closely with operations and engineering to develop ongoing, profitable relationships while maintaining a professional image of Azuria.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute territory and account-level sales strategies focused on I&I reduction projects, including assessment, design, and rehabilitation work (CCTV, flow monitoring, CIPP lining, chemical grouting, manhole rehabilitation, lateral rehab, and related construction services).
- Proactively generate and qualify I&I-related opportunities by targeting communities and utilities experiencing capacity constraints, SSOs, regulatory pressure, or elevated treatment and pumping costs due to excess clear water in their systems.
- Perform structured account planning to identify, develop, and close I&I-driven engineering and construction programs, including multi-year wet weather, capacity, or consent decree–driven initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, municipal decision-makers, utility managers, and industrial clients to position Insituform as a trusted partner for I&I investigation and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and operations teams to shape technical solutions that address specific I&I defects such as defective joints, cracked pipes, leaking laterals, and manhole inflow sources.
- Conduct customer meetings and technical presentations that clearly communicate the operational, financial, and regulatory impacts of I&I and the value of Insituform’s trenchless rehabilitation and sealing technologies.
- Prepare proposals and recommend contract prices for I&I studies and construction projects; execute bid strategy, provide input into estimating, optimize pricing, and help assemble project teams (consultants, subcontractors, internal resources) to win and deliver profitable work.
- Develop and maintain opportunity pipelines and sales forecasts specifically for I&I-related work, ensuring all activities and opportunities are current in the CRM system.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence on I&I program funding, regulatory drivers, competing technologies, and local procurement practices, and respond to competitive analyses.
- Provide input into the development of marketing content, case studies, and educational materials focused on the causes, risks, and solutions for I&I.
- Support internal budgeting and forecasting by tracking booked I&I projects, backlog, and revenue projections, and by providing periodic variance analysis against plan for the I&I solutions portfolio.
- Develop, review, and refine key performance indicators and dashboards that track I&I program wins, average project size, conversion rates from study to construction, and penetration of target accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or other related field required.
- 5+ years of related sales or client-facing experience in the water/wastewater, pipeline, or municipal markets, with demonstrated success developing engineering or construction services, preferably water/wastewater and/or I&I reduction.
- Working knowledge of wastewater collection systems, inflow and infiltration concepts, and common I&I investigation and rehabilitation methods.
- Strong business development, opportunity qualification, and consultative selling skills, with the ability to link I&I technical issues to financial and regulatory outcomes for the client.
- Entrepreneurial energy and comfort building a focused I&I solutions portfolio within a broader organization, including working across functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to visit clients, attend industry events, and support project pursuits.
COMPENSATION
- We offer a competitive starting salary of $135,000-$150,000/year with career growth opportunities and a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision Insurance, prescription drug coverage, 401k matching, tuition assistance, paid time off, and much more.

Frame your technical sales credentials clearly
Azuria hires Account Managers who can speak to pipeline rehabilitation and water infrastructure solutions. Before applying, document any experience selling engineering services or environmental consulting to utilities, municipalities, or industrial clients.
Target open roles across multiple Azuria territories
Azuria posts Sales Account Manager openings across many regions simultaneously. Applying to multiple territory-based postings improves your odds without competing for the same headcount, since each region operates with separate hiring pipelines.
Clarify your OPT or TN timeline early in interviews
If you are on F-1 OPT, confirm your work authorization end date before your first interview. Azuria sponsors TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals, which can be processed faster than H-1B and may influence how quickly an offer moves forward.
Prepare your H-1B transfer documents before the offer stage
If you already hold an H-1B with another employer, a transfer is often faster than a new cap-subject petition. Have your current approval notice, I-94, and most recent pay stubs ready so Azuria's immigration counsel can evaluate portability under H-1B portability rules immediately.
Understand how DOL prevailing wage applies to your target territory
Account Manager compensation at Azuria varies by region. USCIS and DOL require that your offered salary meet the prevailing wage for the specific work location listed on the Labor Condition Application, so a role in a lower-cost market may affect wage level classification.
Use Migrate Mate to find active Azuria openings filtered by visa type
Searching for Sales Account Manager roles that match your visa situation across a large employer like Azuria can be difficult manually. Migrate Mate lets you filter active job postings by sponsored visa type so you only see roles relevant to your work authorization.

Find Sales Account Manager at Azuria Water Solutions JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Azuria Water Solutions sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Account Managers?
Yes, Azuria Water Solutions has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales Account Manager roles. Because H-1B sponsorship for sales positions depends on the role meeting the specialty occupation standard, your application will be strongest if the position requires a degree in a specific field such as engineering, environmental science, or business. Azuria's immigration counsel typically evaluates this on a case-by-case basis at the offer stage.
How do I apply for Sales Account Manager jobs at Azuria Water Solutions?
You can apply through Azuria's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which lists open Sales Account Manager roles at Azuria filtered by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight experience in infrastructure, water solutions, or environmental services sales. Mention your current visa status and work authorization end date early in the process so the hiring team can route your application appropriately.
Which visa types does Azuria Water Solutions commonly use for Sales Account Manager roles?
Azuria sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Sales Account Manager positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for candidates coming out of university programs, while TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. H-1B remains the most common long-term option for candidates who are not citizens or nationals of TN-eligible countries.
What qualifications does Azuria Water Solutions expect for Sales Account Manager candidates?
Azuria typically looks for candidates with experience in technical or industrial sales, ideally within water, environmental, or infrastructure sectors. A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and the H-1B specialty occupation classification. Prior experience working with municipal clients, utilities, or construction contractors is frequently referenced in Azuria's job postings for this role.
How do I manage timing between a job offer and visa filing for a Sales Account Manager role at Azuria?
If you are on F-1 OPT, you can start work as soon as your OPT authorization covers the start date and Azuria has filed an H-1B petition before your OPT expires. H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date under the annual lottery. If you already hold an H-1B, a transfer to Azuria can begin as soon as the petition is filed with USCIS, with no gap in work authorization required.
