Verify Your NCLEX and State Licensure First
BAYADA requires an active RN license in the state where you'll work before sponsorship conversations move forward. Confirm your credentials are transferred or endorsed to the right state early, since licensure delays are the most common reason offers stall.
Target BAYADA Offices in High-Demand States
BAYADA operates across dozens of states, but home health RN shortages are most acute in the Northeast and Southeast. Focusing your applications on offices in those regions increases the likelihood that a local director has both the open role and budget authority to support sponsorship.
Ask Recruiters Directly About TN Eligibility
If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen with an RN credential, TN status is faster than H-1B and doesn't require USCIS approval before you start. Confirm upfront that the Patient Care RN role is offered under a qualifying job category before accepting any offer.
Align Your OPT Start Date With Hiring Cycles
BAYADA recruits Patient Care RNs year-round, but onboarding timelines in home health often run four to six weeks after an offer. Apply early enough in your F-1 OPT window so your authorization is active when orientation begins, not just when you sign the offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Openings
Searching BAYADA's own careers page won't tell you which Patient Care RN postings are open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter BAYADA roles specifically verified for H-1B, OPT, and TN sponsorship, so you only apply to positions worth pursuing.
Understand H-1B Cap Timing Before Accepting an Offer
BAYADA is a cap-subject employer, so H-1B petitions are tied to the annual lottery that opens in March. If you receive an offer outside cap-exempt status, confirm your start date accounts for USCIS processing timelines, which can extend several months beyond the April registration window.

Find Patient Care RN at BAYADA Home Health Care JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BAYADA Home Health Care sponsor H-1B visas for Patient Care RNs?
Yes, BAYADA Home Health Care has sponsored H-1B visas for Patient Care RN roles. Because BAYADA is a cap-subject employer, H-1B petitions go through the annual lottery, with registration opening each March. If selected, USCIS processing typically takes several months, so your offer timeline needs to account for that window before you can begin work.
Which visa types are commonly used for Patient Care RN roles at BAYADA Home Health Care?
H-1B and F-1 OPT are the most common pathways for internationally trained nurses at BAYADA. F-1 CPT can apply in limited academic training contexts, and TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican RNs since nursing qualifies as a TN profession under USMCA. The right visa depends on your citizenship, current status, and how quickly you need to start.
How do I apply for Patient Care RN jobs at BAYADA Home Health Care?
You can browse open Patient Care RN positions through Migrate Mate, which filters BAYADA roles verified for visa sponsorship so you're not applying blind. From there, applications go through BAYADA's recruiting team. Be prepared to confirm your active RN license for the relevant state early in the process, since licensure is a hard requirement before any offer advances.
What qualifications does BAYADA Home Health Care expect for Patient Care RN candidates?
BAYADA looks for an active RN license in the state of employment, at least one year of recent clinical experience, and the ability to work independently in a home setting. Home health experience is valued but not always required. You'll also need reliable transportation, since Patient Care RNs travel between patient homes rather than working from a single facility.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on OPT and targeting a BAYADA Patient Care RN role?
Apply at least two to three months before your intended start date. BAYADA's onboarding for Patient Care RNs includes background checks, clinical orientation, and state licensing verification, which together can take four to six weeks after an offer. If your OPT expires within 12 months, confirm with your DSO whether you're eligible for a STEM OPT extension and whether BAYADA participates in E-Verify, which is required for that extension.
