Verify Your NCLEX and State Licensure First
Molina Healthcare requires active U.S. RN licensure before extending an offer. Get your NCLEX-RN passed and your state nursing license in hand before applying, since sponsorship discussions won't start without it.
Target Managed Care RN Openings Strategically
Molina's Patient Care RN roles focus on telephonic and field-based care management, not bedside nursing. Frame your resume around case management, chronic disease coordination, or utilization review experience to match what their hiring teams are screening for.
Search Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can surface active Patient Care RN openings at Molina Healthcare without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. Browse by visa category to match your current status.
Confirm TN Eligibility If You Hold Canadian or Mexican Citizenship
Registered Nurses are a qualifying TN profession under USMCA. If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status is faster than H-1B and doesn't require a lottery. Confirm with Molina's HR team early that they'll support TN filings for this role.
Understand How PERM Fits Into Long-Term Sponsorship
If Molina extends Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, the employer must run a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. Ask during the offer stage whether this pathway is available and what their typical timeline looks like.
Time Your F-1 OPT Application to Align With Onboarding
USCIS recommends filing for OPT authorization at least 90 days before your program end date. If you're transitioning from a nursing program on F-1 status, make sure your OPT start date aligns with Molina's onboarding window to avoid a gap in work authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molina Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for Patient Care RNs?
Yes, Molina Healthcare has sponsored H-1B visas for nursing roles including Patient Care RNs. Because H-1B requires a specialty occupation with a direct connection between the role and a specific degree field, RN positions typically qualify when the job duties and degree requirements are clearly documented. Sponsorship availability can vary by location and business need, so confirm directly with the recruiter during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Patient Care RN jobs at Molina Healthcare?
You can browse and apply for Patient Care RN openings at Molina Healthcare through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Molina's roles are frequently posted for telephonic and field-based care management positions, so tailoring your resume to managed care or case management experience will strengthen your application significantly.
Which visa types does Molina Healthcare commonly use for Patient Care RN roles?
Molina Healthcare has sponsored Patient Care RNs under H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens and is often faster to obtain than H-1B. EB-3 is a common immigrant visa pathway for registered nurses given the established PERM labor certification process for nursing occupations.
What qualifications does Molina Healthcare expect for Patient Care RN roles?
Molina Healthcare typically requires an active, unrestricted U.S. RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program. Because their Patient Care RN roles center on telephonic or field-based care management, experience in case management, chronic disease coordination, or utilization review is a strong differentiator. Some postings also list managed care or HEDIS-related experience as preferred qualifications depending on the specific team.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Patient Care RN position at Molina Healthcare?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B requires filing by April 1 for an October 1 start, with a cap lottery adding uncertainty. TN can be processed at the border in a single day for qualifying Canadian or Mexican citizens. Green Card sponsorship through EB-3 with PERM typically takes several years from labor certification through USCIS approval. Clarifying which path Molina will support before accepting an offer lets you plan your work authorization timeline realistically.
