Verify Your Credentials Meet State Licensure
Before applying, confirm your RN license is valid in the state where your target Trinity Health facility operates. Some states require NCLEX passage plus a state-specific endorsement, and credential evaluation through CGFNS or an equivalent body may be required for internationally trained nurses.
Target Facilities With Known Staffing Shortages
Trinity Health operates across rural and underserved markets where nursing shortages are acute. Facilities in those regions tend to move faster on sponsorship decisions because the pipeline of locally available candidates is thinner. Research which Trinity Health markets have the highest Patient Care RN vacancy rates before applying.
Understand Which Visa Path Fits Your Timeline
Trinity Health sponsors both nonimmigrant visas like H-1B and TN and immigrant pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. If you're on OPT or CPT with a hard expiration, flag that early. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship can take years, so aligning your current status with the right visa category matters from day one.
Browse Open Patient Care RN Roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Patient Care RN openings at Trinity Health by visa type and location. It surfaces roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, saving you time you'd otherwise spend decoding job postings that never mention immigration support.
Ask Recruiters About Facility-Level Sponsorship Authority
Trinity Health is a decentralized system. Individual facilities or regional entities often control hiring decisions, including whether to initiate sponsorship. Ask your recruiter directly which entity you'd be employed under and whether that entity has sponsored this role before, since policy and appetite vary across the network.
Get Your Offer Letter Before USCIS Filing Begins
For H-1B and PERM-based sponsorship, the employer needs a signed offer letter with your position title, start date, and offered wage before filing can proceed with USCIS or DOL. Delays in paperwork on either side push back your start date, so confirm the exact documents Trinity Health needs from you upfront.

Find Patient Care RN at Trinity Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Patient Care RNs?
Yes, Trinity Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Patient Care RN roles. Because RN positions typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in nursing, they meet the foundational H-1B eligibility standard. That said, sponsorship decisions are made at the facility or regional level within Trinity Health's network, so sponsorship willingness can vary by location. Confirming with your specific recruiter is the most reliable step.
How do I apply for Patient Care RN jobs at Trinity Health?
You can search and apply through Trinity Health's careers portal directly, filtering by role title and location. Migrate Mate also lists open Patient Care RN roles at Trinity Health and lets you filter by visa sponsorship type, which helps you identify which openings are accessible to international candidates before you spend time applying. Once you identify a role, apply through the official Trinity Health careers site.
Which visa types does Trinity Health commonly sponsor for Patient Care RN roles?
Trinity Health has sponsored Patient Care RN roles under H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT categories. EB-3 is particularly common for nurse sponsorship because many RN roles align well with that employment-based immigrant visa category. TN sponsorship is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose nursing credentials meet USMCA requirements. The right visa depends on your nationality, current status, and long-term plans.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for Patient Care RN candidates seeking sponsorship?
Trinity Health generally requires an active RN license in the relevant state, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and NCLEX-RN passage. Internationally educated nurses typically need a credential evaluation through an organization like CGFNS to demonstrate equivalency with U.S. nursing education standards. Specialty units may also require BLS or ACLS certification. Prior acute care experience strengthens your candidacy, particularly for roles in ICU, med-surg, or emergency settings.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Patient Care RN at Trinity Health?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. H-1B petitions filed in the annual lottery have an October 1 start date if selected, though premium processing with USCIS can reduce the approval wait to around 15 business days once filed. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process, often two to four years or more depending on your country of birth and priority date. TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican RNs can be processed much faster, sometimes at the port of entry.
