Align your credentials to fintech infrastructure requirements
Brex builds core financial systems, so framing your project engineering experience around payments infrastructure, API integrations, or compliance tooling will resonate more than generic software project work. Document specific delivery outcomes before applying.
Target roles where H-1B sponsorship is established
Brex sponsors H-1B visas for engineering functions, but sponsorship decisions are role-specific. Look for Project Engineer listings that explicitly mention visa sponsorship in the job description rather than assuming it applies company-wide.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your role
USCIS scrutinizes whether Project Engineer positions at fintech firms qualify as specialty occupations. Work with your immigration counsel to document that the role requires a degree in a specific technical field, not just general engineering or business knowledge.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Project Engineer roles at Brex
Sponsorship-eligible Project Engineer openings at Brex don't always stay live for long. Search Migrate Mate to filter active listings by visa type and company so you're applying to verified roles before they close.
Clarify TN eligibility early if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status can be a faster path than H-1B for qualifying engineering roles. Confirm with Brex's recruiting team early in the process whether the Project Engineer position meets DOL's TN engineer category definition before you negotiate offer terms.

Find Project Engineer at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineers?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Project Engineer roles. Sponsorship is determined on a role-by-role basis, so look for listings that confirm visa support during the application process. Because Brex operates in financial infrastructure, the specialty occupation requirement is generally well-supported, but your specific role and degree field will still need to align for USCIS approval.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Engineer roles at Brex?
H-1B is the most common visa for Project Engineers at Brex. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for students and recent graduates entering engineering roles. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying engineering categories. For longer-term pathways, Brex supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for eligible engineers demonstrating sustained contribution.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Project Engineer roles at Brex?
Brex typically looks for engineers with experience delivering technical projects in financial services or high-growth technology environments. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field is standard. Familiarity with payments infrastructure, API-driven systems, or compliance tooling strengthens your application. Demonstrable project ownership, cross-functional coordination, and delivery against technical milestones carry significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I apply for Project Engineer jobs at Brex?
Find open Project Engineer roles at Brex through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Submit your application through Brex's careers portal, tailoring your resume to reflect financial infrastructure or platform engineering experience. During recruiter screening, confirm visa sponsorship availability for the specific role early to avoid late-stage complications.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship before my OPT expires?
If you're on F-1 OPT, work backward from your OPT end date. Brex would need to file your H-1B petition by the USCIS registration deadline in March for an October 1 start. That means securing an offer and completing onboarding paperwork by late February at the latest. STEM OPT extension gives you up to 24 additional months of runway if you miss a lottery cycle, which can reduce timing pressure significantly.
