Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Broadcom's Operations roles, particularly in supply chain and procurement, require a degree directly tied to the function. A general business degree may not satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. A focused supply chain, industrial engineering, or operations management credential strengthens your petition.
Target roles with cross-functional technical overlap
Broadcom sits at the intersection of semiconductor hardware and enterprise software. Operations roles that touch demand planning for chip products or vendor management for software licensing are more likely to require specialized knowledge, which supports a stronger H-1B specialty occupation argument.
Search open Operations roles on Migrate Mate
Broadcom's Operations openings span multiple sites and business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring Operations positions at Broadcom so you're only spending time on roles where sponsorship is confirmed, not inferred.
Clarify TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Some Broadcom Operations roles in procurement or management analysis qualify under TN visa category. TN has no lottery and allows faster entry, so if you're Canadian or Mexican, confirm with the hiring team whether your specific role qualifies before defaulting to H-1B.
Request clarity on PERM sponsorship during offer negotiation
Broadcom sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Operations employees. When reviewing your offer, ask HR directly whether the role is designated for PERM-based sponsorship and what the typical timeline looks like, so you understand the long-term path before signing.

Does Broadcom sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Broadcom sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. Roles in supply chain, procurement, and program management are among the functions where sponsorship has been supported. The key requirement is that your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it requires a specifically related bachelor's degree or higher. Technical operations roles tied to semiconductor or software product lines tend to meet this threshold more clearly.
Which visa types does Broadcom commonly use for Operations positions?
Broadcom supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card sponsorship (EB-2 and EB-3) for Operations roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are relevant for recent graduates entering the function. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories such as management analyst. H-1B is the standard long-term route for most international Operations hires.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Broadcom?
You can browse open Operations roles at Broadcom directly through their careers site, or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Broadcom positions that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight supply chain systems, procurement processes, or operational program experience relevant to the business unit. Broadcom's Operations hiring spans both its semiconductor and infrastructure software divisions, so identifying the right team matters.
What qualifications and experience does Broadcom look for in Operations candidates?
Broadcom typically expects a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business operations, or a related technical field for Operations roles. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is frequently cited. For senior positions, cross-functional program management experience in a technology company environment, particularly within hardware or software product cycles, carries significant weight in the evaluation process.
How do I time my Operations job search at Broadcom around visa deadlines?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 12-month work authorization window is the critical planning constraint. STEM OPT can extend this by 24 months if your Operations role qualifies under a STEM-designated program. For H-1B, Broadcom must register you in March for an October 1 start. Align your offer acceptance timeline to allow at least 60 days before registration opens so HR has time to initiate the process through USCIS.
