Frame Your Experience Around Student Outcomes
Crimson Education evaluates consultants on measurable client impact, not just advisory experience. When preparing your resume and portfolio, quantify results like acceptance rates, test score improvements, or client retention to align with how they assess the role.
Verify Your Degree Meets Specialty Occupation Standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning a specific bachelor's degree or higher is normally required. For a consulting role in education, degrees in education, psychology, counseling, or business strengthen your petition compared to unrelated fields.
Target Open Roles Across All Crimson Markets
Crimson Education operates globally but files H-1B sponsorships through its U.S. entities. Search for Professional Services Consultant openings specifically listed under U.S. locations, since sponsorship eligibility is tied to the employing legal entity, not the company broadly.
Browse Verified Sponsoring Employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter for Professional Services Consultant roles at employers with a confirmed H-1B sponsorship history in the education sector. This cuts job search time significantly by surfacing companies that have already cleared the sponsorship decision internally.
Raise Sponsorship Early in the Recruiter Conversation
Education-sector companies sometimes treat visa sponsorship as a case-by-case decision rather than a standing policy. Confirm directly with the recruiter that the specific U.S. role and team you're interviewing for has budget and HR approval for H-1B sponsorship before investing time in later rounds.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timeline Before Accepting an Offer
If you're not currently in H-1B status, cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start. Factor that gap into your offer negotiation and start date discussions so both you and Crimson's HR team are aligned on the realistic onboarding timeline.

Find Professional Services Consultant at Crimson Education JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Crimson Education sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, Crimson Education has sponsored H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultant roles in the U.S. The company operates in the education consulting space, and these positions generally meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements when the candidate holds a relevant degree in education, counseling, psychology, or business. Confirming sponsorship availability with the recruiter for the specific team and location you're applying to is always the right first step.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Crimson Education?
Applications are submitted through Crimson Education's careers page or through job platforms that list their open U.S. positions. You can also browse verified openings with sponsorship context on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship history. Tailor your application to emphasize measurable client outcomes and any experience supporting students through competitive academic or professional processes, since that maps directly to what Crimson values in this role.
Which visa types are commonly used for Professional Services Consultant roles at Crimson Education?
The H-1B is the primary work visa used for Professional Services Consultant roles at U.S.-based education companies like Crimson Education. If you're already in F-1 OPT status, you may be able to start work before an H-1B is filed, depending on your OPT expiration and STEM extension eligibility. The TN visa is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, though consulting roles require careful assessment of the specific TN category.
What qualifications does Crimson Education expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Crimson Education typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, or business, combined with client-facing experience in consulting, advising, or coaching. Familiarity with competitive university admissions, standardized test preparation, or academic program development strengthens your profile. Because H-1B eligibility depends on degree-to-role alignment, a directly related field of study matters more here than in generalist consulting environments.
How do I navigate the H-1B filing timeline after receiving an offer from Crimson Education?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS opens registration in March and files approved petitions with an October 1 start date. That means an offer accepted in early spring could have a six-month gap before you're authorized to work in H-1B status. Clarify your current work authorization status with HR immediately after receiving an offer so Crimson can plan the filing timeline and you can align your start date accordingly.
