Tailor credentials to healthcare operations context
DaVita's Program Manager roles emphasize clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination within a heavily regulated healthcare environment. Highlight experience managing projects under healthcare frameworks like Joint Commission standards or CMS compliance requirements, not just general PMP credentials.
Target roles across DaVita's clinical and corporate divisions
DaVita posts Program Manager openings across dialysis center operations, IT, population health, and corporate functions. Applying broadly across divisions increases your chances since sponsorship decisions can vary by hiring manager and budget cycle within large healthcare organizations.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
H-1B and TN eligibility hinge on how your role is classified. Program Manager positions can qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, but the job description must demonstrate degree-level complexity. Confirm the posting language supports this before accepting an offer.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration
If you need H-1B sponsorship, DaVita must register you in USCIS's annual lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Securing an offer by late January gives HR enough lead time to prepare your registration before the window closes.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Program Manager openings
DaVita's sponsorship-eligible Program Manager roles don't always stay posted long. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track openings at DaVita that match your visa type so you can apply as soon as relevant positions go live.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term path
If DaVita sponsors you on an H-1B and you want a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, the employer must file a PERM labor certification with DOL. Healthcare employers often have established PERM processes, but you should ask HR about their typical timeline during negotiations.

Does DaVita sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, DaVita sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given its degree requirements and the complexity of managing programs within a regulated healthcare environment. Sponsorship is subject to the annual H-1B cap and lottery, so timing your offer to allow for March registration is important.
Which visa types does DaVita commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
DaVita sponsors H-1B visas for most international hires in this function, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA professional categories. For longer-term immigration, DaVita also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at DaVita?
You can search and apply for Program Manager positions directly through DaVita's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type and track new postings as they appear. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect healthcare program management experience, particularly in clinical operations, compliance, or population health, since DaVita prioritizes candidates familiar with the regulatory demands of kidney care services.
What qualifications does DaVita expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
DaVita typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, business, or a clinical discipline, often with a preference for a master's degree or PMP certification. Practical experience managing cross-functional programs within healthcare settings, particularly involving compliance, IT systems, or clinical operations, carries significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I plan my timeline if DaVita is sponsoring my H-1B?
If you're starting on F-1 OPT, your authorization can bridge the gap while DaVita files your H-1B registration in March and petitions for an October 1 start. If you're changing status from another visa, USCIS premium processing (currently 15 business days) can reduce uncertainty. Discuss the full filing timeline with DaVita's HR or immigration counsel as early as the offer stage.
