Position Summary:
The dispatcher has the overall responsibility for managing all requests for routine non-emergency calls as well as emergency calls from the campus community and dispatching officers as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to operate successfully in a stressful police environment
- Must possess analytical thinking and good judgement
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have good computer skills
- Emergency Dispatch Training preferred
- APCO certification preferred
- Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
