Align your portfolio to DoorDash verticals
DoorDash's social marketing centers on consumer, merchant, and Dasher audiences. Tailor your portfolio to show campaigns targeting distinct audience segments, not just general brand content. Hiring managers look for evidence you can speak to multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Time your application around OPT cap-gap risk
If you're on F-1 OPT and targeting a DoorDash role, file your H-1B registration before your OPT expires. Cap-gap protection only applies if USCIS receives your petition while your OPT is still valid, so a late offer can create a gap in work authorization.
Request LCA filing details from your recruiter
Before signing an offer, ask whether DoorDash's legal team has started the Labor Condition Application with DOL. LCA certification is required before USCIS can process your H-1B petition, and delays here directly affect your start date.
Search for DoorDash social roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Social Media Marketing openings at DoorDash by visa type. It surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship histories, saving you from applying to listings where sponsorship availability is unclear.
Prepare marketing credentials for USCIS specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes whether Social Media Marketing qualifies as a specialty occupation. Secure documentation showing your role requires a specific bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a closely related field, not a generalist background.

Find Social Media Marketing at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Social Media Marketings?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Social Media Marketing roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file petitions for qualified candidates. Because H-1B approval depends on USCIS confirming the role meets specialty occupation standards, your job description should clearly require a degree in a specific field like marketing or communications, not a general degree.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Social Media Marketing roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for marketing hires, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, education, and current status.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Social Media Marketing roles?
DoorDash typically looks for experience managing social channels at scale, with demonstrated results in content strategy, paid social, or community management. For sponsored roles, your background needs to tie to a specific degree field to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Roles focused on performance marketing often also require familiarity with platform analytics tools and A/B testing frameworks.
How do I apply for Social Media Marketing jobs at DoorDash?
You can find open Social Media Marketing positions at DoorDash directly on their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, review the job description carefully to confirm it aligns with your visa category. During screening, be prepared to confirm your sponsorship needs upfront so there are no surprises later in the process.
How do I understand the timeline for DoorDash to sponsor my work visa?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B petitions are tied to the April lottery cycle, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest if selected. E-3 and TN visas can move faster since they're not cap-subject. For F-1 OPT transitions, USCIS recommends filing at least 60 days before your authorization expires. Ask DoorDash's recruiting team when they plan to initiate your petition so you can plan accordingly.
