Frame your role as specialty occupation
Guzman Y Gomez E-3 sponsorship requires your position to meet the specialty occupation standard. Use O*NET to confirm your job code requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field before you apply.
Research prevailing wage before negotiating
Your offered salary must meet DOL prevailing wage for your role and work location. Run your job title and zip code through the OFLC Wage Search so you're not caught off guard during the LCA filing stage.
Target corporate and multi-unit operations roles
Guzman Y Gomez's U.S. E-3 sponsorship has centered on corporate functions and multi-unit operations management rather than hourly restaurant work. Focus your application on roles where a degree-level background is a genuine requirement.
Get your credentials document-ready early
Gather your Australian degree transcripts, any professional certifications, and a detailed employment history before you approach Guzman Y Gomez. Credential gaps discovered late can delay the LCA filing and push back your start date.
Clarify who manages the LCA filing
Ask HR whether Guzman Y Gomez uses in-house legal counsel or an external immigration firm to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL. Knowing this early lets you follow up with the right contact if the process stalls.
Use Migrate Mate to verify LCA history
Before accepting an offer, confirm Guzman Y Gomez has active LCA filings for your role type. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and occupation so you can verify sponsorship history before committing.
Guzman Y Gomez E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Guzman Y Gomez sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Guzman Y Gomez sponsors E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles within its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is concentrated in corporate and multi-unit management functions rather than entry-level restaurant positions. If your role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, you're in the right territory to pursue E-3 sponsorship there.
Which roles at Guzman Y Gomez typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Guzman Y Gomez is most commonly associated with roles in operations management, brand and marketing functions, supply chain, and corporate finance. These positions require degree-level qualifications that satisfy the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines. Frontline hourly roles generally do not qualify because they lack the bachelor's degree requirement.
How does the E-3 application process work once Guzman Y Gomez makes an offer?
After an offer is made, Guzman Y Gomez's immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once the LCA is certified, you take it to your U.S. consulate interview in Australia along with your DS-160, offer letter, and degree credentials. There is no USCIS petition required, which makes the E-3 process faster than the H-1B visa route.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Guzman Y Gomez?
The LCA certification from DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the overall timeline, which can range from a few weeks to several months depending on demand. Building in at least six to eight weeks between your offer acceptance and intended start date is a reasonable working assumption.
How do I find open E-3 roles at Guzman Y Gomez?
Migrate Mate lists verified E-3 sponsoring employers including Guzman Y Gomez, filtered by DOL Labor Condition Application data, so you can see which roles and job families the company has sponsored. Cross-reference those findings with Guzman Y Gomez's own careers page to identify current openings that align with positions the company has historically filed E-3 LCAs for.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Guzman Y Gomez?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
