Match your degree to the role
Reflection AI hires for highly specialized AI and software engineering positions. Before applying, verify your degree field directly maps to the role description, a general computer science degree supporting an AI research role will need explicit field alignment documented in your LCA.
Research Reflection AI's active job categories
Focus your applications on research, infrastructure, and applied engineering roles where Reflection AI's hiring is concentrated. These teams work on compute-intensive AI systems where a specialty occupation argument is strongest and E-3 eligibility is clearest.
Negotiate the LCA timeline into your start date
DOL certifies Labor Condition Applications within seven business days, but Reflection AI's HR team needs lead time to prepare the filing. Confirm your intended start date accounts for LCA certification before you accept an offer and book travel.
Prepare a prevailing wage comparison before your offer call
Run your target role's SOC code through the OFLC Wage Search before salary discussions. Reflection AI must meet the DOL prevailing wage, so knowing the Level I through Level IV range for your location lets you evaluate whether the offer satisfies E-3 requirements.
Use Migrate Mate to handle your E-3 filing
Once Reflection AI confirms sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to manage your E-3 application end to end. Their flat-fee service covers document preparation and filing support, which is useful when coordinating a consular appointment around a firm start date.
Reflection AI E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Reflection AI sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Reflection AI sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian nationals. The company operates in the Technology and Software industry, and its technical and research roles typically meet the specialty occupation requirement central to E-3 eligibility. Confirming sponsorship availability for a specific role is best done directly with the recruiter early in the interview process.
Which roles at Reflection AI are most likely to qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Engineering, AI research, and infrastructure roles are the strongest candidates for E-3 sponsorship at Reflection AI. These positions require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related technical field, which satisfies the specialty occupation definition. Roles with broader or non-technical scope may require additional documentation to establish eligibility.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Reflection AI?
After receiving a job offer, Reflection AI's HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy in Australia and bring the certified LCA, your DS-160, offer letter, and degree credentials. USCIS is not involved, the E-3 is processed entirely at the consulate.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Reflection AI?
The LCA certification typically takes around seven business days after Reflection AI submits it to DOL. Consular appointment wait times in Australia then determine the rest of your timeline. Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth each carry different wait periods depending on the time of year, so booking your appointment immediately after LCA certification shortens the overall window.
How do I prepare a strong E-3 application for a role at Reflection AI?
Start by confirming your degree field maps directly to the role Reflection AI is hiring for, this is the part most applicants underestimate. Gather your transcripts, a detailed offer letter specifying your title and salary, and the certified LCA before your consular interview. Migrate Mate can manage the filing process and document review if you want structured support from offer to visa stamp.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Reflection AI?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
