Map your degree to a specialty occupation
Samba TV hires for data engineering, software development, and analytics roles that require a directly related degree. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation meets the specialty occupation standard before you apply.
Verify the prevailing wage before negotiating
Your offer must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and work location. Run the OFLC Wage Search using Samba TV's office location and your job title to enter salary negotiations knowing the legal floor.
Confirm LCA filing before you sign
Samba TV must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL and receive certification before your visa application can proceed. Ask your recruiter for the LCA certification date so you can plan your consulate appointment timeline accurately.
Target teams that match Samba TV's core product
Samba TV's work centers on automatic content recognition and streaming analytics. Roles in machine learning, data pipelines, and platform engineering align most directly with their E-3 hiring patterns and are more likely to generate a sponsorship conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified E-3 openings
Search Samba TV's active roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces jobs filtered against DOL Labor Condition Application data so you can see which positions have an established E-3 sponsorship history before you apply.
Prepare for a consulate appointment within weeks
Unlike H-1B visa, E-3 applications go directly to a U.S. consulate in Australia without a USCIS petition stage. Once your employer has the certified LCA, book your appointment at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth quickly since appointment slots can fill during peak periods.
Samba TV E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Samba TV sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Samba TV sponsors E-3 visas for qualified Australian professionals. The company operates in the data-driven technology and software sector, and its E-3 sponsorship activity covers roles in areas such as software engineering, data science, and product analytics. Sponsorship is tied to specific open positions, so you'll need an active job offer before the process begins.
Which roles or departments at Samba TV typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Samba TV's E-3 sponsorships tend to concentrate in technical functions that sit closest to its core products: software engineering, machine learning, data engineering, and analytics. These roles align well with the specialty occupation requirement because they demand a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. Business and product roles can also qualify, but the clearest path is through technical positions.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Samba TV?
Once Samba TV extends a formal offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL to certify your wage meets prevailing wage standards. With the certified LCA in hand, you complete the DS-160 online, pay the consular fee, and schedule your interview at a U.S. consulate in Australia. USCIS is not involved in the E-3 process, so there is no petition stage or lottery.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at Samba TV?
The LCA certification from DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the remaining timeline, and wait times vary by location and season. Most applicants who move quickly after receiving their offer letter complete the end-to-end process within four to six weeks, though you should confirm current appointment availability before committing to a start date.
How do I find and apply for E-3 jobs at Samba TV?
Migrate Mate lists Samba TV roles that match E-3 sponsorship history, drawn from DOL Labor Condition Application data, so you can identify positions with a real sponsorship track record rather than guessing from job listings. When you apply, tailor your application to demonstrate that your degree field directly aligns with the role, since that connection is central to the specialty occupation determination USCIS and consular officers assess.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Samba TV?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
