Verify your NCLEX and state licensure early
Genesis requires active U.S. RN licensure before any offer can move forward. Start your NCLEX and state board application well ahead of your job search, since credential evaluation through bodies like CGFNS can add months to your timeline.
Target Genesis roles tied to corporate campuses
Genesis staffs nurses primarily for on-site employee health programs at technology campuses. Filter your search for occupational health or employee wellness RN titles, which align most directly with the company's internal clinical care model and sponsorship history.
Use Migrate Mate to find open RN positions at Genesis
Nursing roles at technology companies fill quickly and don't always surface on general job boards. Browse Migrate Mate to filter Genesis Registered Nurse openings by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying where sponsorship is confirmed.
Understand how Genesis structures H-1B petitions for nurses
Registered Nursing qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines when the role requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Confirm the posted position requires a BSN, not just an ADN, since the degree requirement is what supports the H-1B classification.
Prepare for PERM labor certification if targeting a Green Card
Genesis sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for nursing roles, which require DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS filing. Ask your recruiting contact early whether the role is flagged for permanent sponsorship, as PERM timelines routinely run 12 to 18 months or longer.
Align your application timing with the H-1B cap cycle
If you need H-1B status and aren't currently exempt, Genesis must file during the annual USCIS registration window in March for an October 1 start date. Factor this into your offer negotiation so both you and the employer have realistic expectations on your start date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Genesis sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, Genesis sponsors H-1B visas for Registered Nurse roles where the position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which satisfies USCIS's specialty occupation standard. If you hold an ADN rather than a BSN, the H-1B path becomes harder to support, so confirming the degree requirement listed in the job posting is an important first step before applying.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at Genesis?
Apply directly through Genesis's careers portal, and look specifically for occupational health or employee wellness RN titles, which reflect how the company structures its clinical staffing. If you need visa sponsorship, confirm the role is open to sponsored candidates before submitting. Migrate Mate lets you filter Genesis RN openings by visa type so you can identify confirmed sponsorship roles before you apply.
Which visa types does Genesis commonly use for Registered Nurses?
Genesis sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant pathways for Registered Nurses. H-1B is the primary nonimmigrant route for degree-holding nurses in specialty occupation roles. For permanent residence, Genesis has used EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, with EB-3 being the more common path for staff-level RN positions. The right category depends on the role's degree requirements and your long-term immigration goals.
What qualifications does Genesis expect for sponsored Registered Nurse roles?
At minimum, Genesis expects current U.S. RN licensure in the relevant state, a BSN for any role tied to H-1B sponsorship, and clinical experience relevant to occupational or corporate health settings. Technology sector nursing roles often emphasize health screenings, ergonomic assessments, and workplace injury management, so experience in occupational health or urgent care strengthens your profile significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Registered Nurse at Genesis?
For H-1B, USCIS standard processing runs several months after the October 1 cap start date, with premium processing available to reduce adjudication to around 15 business days. For EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the full PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status process can take two to four years or more depending on your country of birth and current visa priority dates.
