Frame your credentials around ITIL and enterprise tools
Genpact's IT Support roles sit inside large-scale managed services environments. Certifications like ITIL Foundation and hands-on experience with ServiceNow or SAP signal you're ready to operate at their delivery scale, not just a helpdesk.
Target Genpact's Global Client Services business unit
Most IT Support openings at Genpact sit within service delivery and client operations teams. Filtering your search by this function narrows you to the roles where visa sponsorship for technical support staff is most consistently offered.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open IT Support roles at Genpact
Genpact posts IT Support positions across multiple locations and business lines. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Genpact openings that match your visa type so you're applying to roles already scoped for sponsorship.
Clarify your OPT or CPT end date early in screening
Genpact's hiring timelines for IT Support can run six to ten weeks. If you're on F-1 OPT, disclose your authorization end date in your first recruiter call so they can align the offer and filing timeline before your work authorization gaps.
Understand that E-3 and TN filings move faster than H-1B
For Australian and Canadian applicants, Genpact can file an E-3 or TN without waiting for the H-1B lottery. If you qualify under either category, flag it explicitly during the offer stage so the hiring team routes the petition correctly from the start.
Confirm your role meets DOL specialty occupation criteria before accepting
H-1B sponsorship for IT Support roles requires DOL to classify the position as a specialty occupation. Ask the recruiter whether the specific job description has supported H-1B filings before, since titles like 'IT Support Specialist' face closer USCIS scrutiny than 'Systems Engineer.'

Find IT Support at Genpact JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Genpact sponsor H-1B visas for IT Supports?
Yes, Genpact sponsors H-1B visas for IT Support roles, though approval depends on how the specific position is structured. Roles framed around systems administration, enterprise platforms, or technical project delivery tend to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements more clearly than generalist helpdesk titles. Confirm with your recruiter that the job description has successfully supported H-1B petitions before you proceed to the offer stage.
How do I apply for IT Support jobs at Genpact?
Apply directly through Genpact's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters open IT Support positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your resume to Genpact's managed services context, highlighting enterprise tools, ticketing systems, and any ITIL or cloud certifications. Visa status should be disclosed early in the screening process to avoid timeline mismatches.
Which visa types does Genpact commonly use for IT Support roles?
Genpact sponsors several visa categories for IT Support professionals, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs. Candidates already on an approved H-1B with another employer may also be eligible for an H-1B transfer, which avoids the annual lottery entirely.
What qualifications does Genpact expect for IT Support positions?
Genpact typically looks for a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, alongside practical experience with enterprise environments. Proficiency in tools like ServiceNow, Active Directory, or SAP support modules is commonly required. ITIL certification strengthens your candidacy for roles tied to service delivery, which is where most of Genpact's IT Support headcount sits.
How do I handle the H-1B lottery timeline if I receive an offer from Genpact?
H-1B registrations open each March for an October 1 start date, meaning there can be a gap of six months or more between selection and your start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, cap-gap protection may cover you through this window. Work with Genpact's immigration team to map your current authorization against the USCIS filing calendar before signing an offer.
