Align your resume to process transformation
Genpact's Business Operations roles center on process improvement, digital transformation, and client delivery. Frame your experience around measurable outcomes in these areas before you apply, not just task descriptions. Consulting-style impact statements resonate with their hiring teams.
Target roles tied to client engagements
Genpact structures many Business Operations positions around specific client accounts or delivery verticals. Roles tied to active client engagements tend to move faster through the offer and sponsorship pipeline, so filter your search by business unit where possible.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Genpact sponsors several visa types including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Knowing which category fits your situation before salary negotiations lets you ask the right questions about timing, filing responsibility, and whether the role is cap-subject or cap-exempt.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles
Business Operations openings at Genpact aren't always labeled consistently across job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter verified sponsorship-friendly roles at Genpact in one place, saving time you'd otherwise spend cross-referencing postings.
Confirm LCA filing timelines with your recruiter
For H-1B transfers or new petitions, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your I-129. Ask your Genpact recruiter early how long internal approvals take so the LCA doesn't become a bottleneck after your offer.
Prepare credential documentation for specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes whether Business Operations roles qualify as specialty occupations. Gather degree certificates, transcripts, and any credential evaluations in advance. A credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized service is especially useful if your degree is from outside the United States.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Genpact sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Genpact sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. As a large consulting and professional services employer, Genpact has an established process for filing H-1B petitions, including cap-subject registrations and transfers from other employers. If you're already on an H-1B, a transfer to Genpact is generally possible once you have an offer, but confirm the internal approval timeline with your recruiter early.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Genpact?
You can search Genpact's careers portal directly or browse verified openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where sponsorship is confirmed. When applying, tailor your application to Genpact's focus areas, namely process transformation, digital operations, and client delivery. Roles often move through multiple interview rounds, so prepare for both technical and behavioral assessments tied to consulting delivery contexts.
Which visa types does Genpact commonly use for Business Operations hires?
Genpact sponsors a range of visa categories for Business Operations positions, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian nationals, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican professionals under USMCA, and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways are also available for longer-term employees, typically initiated after you've been in a role for some time.
What qualifications does Genpact expect for Business Operations roles?
Most Business Operations positions at Genpact require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, operations management, finance, or a related discipline. Many roles also expect familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, and experience working within client-facing or delivery environments. Advanced degrees can strengthen your candidacy for senior or specialist tracks.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Genpact to sponsor my visa?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization can begin once USCIS approves your EAD, which takes up to 90 days from application. Cap-subject H-1B petitions follow the April 1 USCIS filing window with an October 1 start date, so a mid-year offer may require bridging on OPT. E-3 and TN petitions move faster and aren't lottery-dependent, which is worth noting if you qualify.
