Align your credentials to infrastructure project delivery
H W Lochner's Engineering Program Manager roles center on transportation and infrastructure programs. Frame your resume around program governance, multi-stakeholder coordination, and capital delivery experience, not just technical engineering outputs, so your background maps directly to their project portfolio.
Verify your specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for program management roles, since employers must prove the position requires a specific bachelor's degree. Gather transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and a detailed offer letter that ties your engineering discipline directly to the role's core duties before your employer files.
Target H W Lochner's state and regional office openings
H W Lochner staffs program managers regionally across state DOT and transit agency contracts. Searching by office location rather than national postings surfaces roles tied to active funded programs, where hiring urgency is higher and sponsorship conversations tend to move faster.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Engineering Program Manager roles
Sponsorship-eligible roles at consulting firms like H W Lochner aren't always labeled as such in standard job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Engineering Program Manager openings at H W Lochner that align with their visa sponsorship history, so you're applying where authorization is already on the table.
Raise sponsorship timing during the offer stage
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're negotiating an offer in the fall or winter, confirm with the hiring manager that your start date and the H-1B registration window are compatible before accepting, since a misaligned timeline can delay your start by a full year.
Understand how PERM labor certification affects your green card path
Consulting firms sponsoring EB-2 or EB-3 petitions must complete DOL's PERM process before filing your immigrant petition. At H W Lochner, this typically happens after you've established tenure. Ask your HR contact early whether the company initiates PERM internally or through outside counsel, since that affects your planning horizon significantly.

Find Engineering Program Manager at H W Lochner JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does H W Lochner sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, H W Lochner has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for engineering roles, including program management positions. Because these roles require applying specialized engineering knowledge to complex infrastructure programs, they generally meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter during your first substantive conversation, since not every opening is approved for sponsorship.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Program Manager roles at H W Lochner?
H-1B is the primary nonimmigrant visa used for Engineering Program Manager roles at H W Lochner, given the specialty occupation requirements of the position. For longer-term employment authorization, the company has also supported Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories, which require completing PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before USCIS petition filing.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Engineering Program Manager roles at H W Lochner?
H W Lochner typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil, transportation, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure or transportation programs. PMP certification and familiarity with public-sector client environments, particularly state DOTs or transit agencies, strengthen your candidacy. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to align directly with the specific program management functions in the role description.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at H W Lochner?
You can browse and apply for Engineering Program Manager openings at H W Lochner through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not wasting applications on positions that don't support work authorization. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect program delivery experience on infrastructure contracts and reference any relevant state or federal client work to match H W Lochner's core practice areas.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship to join H W Lochner?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March, with registration typically due by late March and a filing deadline of April 1 for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside this window, you and your employer will need to plan around the next available registration cycle, which could mean a gap of several months. Clarify this with H W Lochner's HR team early so your offer terms account for the realistic start date.
