Frame your credentials around infrastructure project delivery
H W Lochner's Project Manager roles center on transportation and civil infrastructure. Tailor your resume to show direct experience managing engineering or consulting projects, including scope, schedule, and client coordination, not just general management responsibilities.
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For Project Manager positions in professional consulting, a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field strengthens your petition and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
Target H W Lochner's active project corridors
H W Lochner staffs Project Managers on active state DOT and federal transportation contracts. Search their open roles by state to identify where hiring is concentrated, since offices tied to active contracts are more likely to move quickly on offers and sponsorship decisions.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsored openings efficiently
Not every Project Manager listing at H W Lochner will state sponsorship availability upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter and surface roles at H W Lochner where visa sponsorship has been confirmed, so you can prioritize applications without guessing.
Clarify sponsorship timing before accepting an offer
H-1B filings for cap-subject candidates must align with USCIS's April registration window, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. Confirm with H W Lochner's HR team whether your start date can accommodate that timeline before signing an offer letter.
Prepare for PERM if you're pursuing a Green Card
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship at consulting firms requires the employer to run a DOL PERM labor market test, which can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is even filed. Ask early whether H W Lochner initiates PERM for Project Manager roles after a defined tenure.

Find Project Manager at H W Lochner JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does H W Lochner sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, H W Lochner has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. Their work on federally funded transportation and infrastructure contracts creates recurring demand for specialized project management talent, and the company has demonstrated a willingness to support sponsorship for qualified candidates in this function. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with their recruiting team when you apply.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Manager roles at H W Lochner?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Project Managers at professional consulting firms like H W Lochner, given that project management in civil and transportation engineering typically meets USCIS's specialty occupation standard. For longer-term employment, H W Lochner has also sponsored employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at H W Lochner?
Applications go through H W Lochner's careers portal, where openings are listed by region and project type. Before applying broadly, identify which office locations align with active contracts, since those teams are most likely to have immediate hiring authority. Migrate Mate is a practical way to surface and track H W Lochner's Project Manager openings that include visa sponsorship, saving you the step of screening each listing manually.
What qualifications and experience does H W Lochner expect for Project Manager candidates?
H W Lochner typically looks for candidates with a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline, combined with direct experience managing transportation or infrastructure projects. Professional Engineer licensure or a PMP credential strengthens your application. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the degree field needs to align closely with the specific project management duties in the role, so a generalist background without engineering depth may face additional USCIS scrutiny.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at H W Lochner?
If you're cap-subject, the H-1B registration window opens in March, with a lottery in late March and petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. That means an offer accepted in early 2025 may not result in authorized employment until October 2025. Discuss this timeline with H W Lochner's HR team upfront so both parties can plan project staffing around your availability date.
