Document your trade certifications before applying
Gather ASE certifications, equipment-specific credentials, and any apprenticeship records before outreach. Harley Ellis Devereaux operates across construction sites where verified mechanical competency is a hiring baseline, and gaps in documentation slow the sponsorship evaluation process.
Target facilities and construction-focused job postings
Focus your search on Mechanic openings tied to construction equipment or facilities maintenance rather than general mechanical roles. Harley Ellis Devereaux's project-driven structure means sponsorship approvals are more likely when the role connects directly to active construction operations.
Understand how PERM labor certification applies here
EB-2 and EB-3 pathways require DOL PERM labor certification, which confirms no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. For Mechanic positions in construction, the job duties description in the PERM filing must precisely match your day-to-day responsibilities to avoid audit risk.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Mechanic roles
Searching broadly across job boards buries sponsorship-willing employers. Use Migrate Mate to filter Mechanic openings specifically at companies like Harley Ellis Devereaux that have demonstrated H-1B or employment-based Green Card sponsorship activity in the Construction and Real Estate space.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B cap deadlines
If you're pursuing an H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Negotiate your offer and start date with Harley Ellis Devereaux's HR team early enough to meet that window, since missing the cap cycle means waiting a full year.

Find Mechanic at Harley Ellis Devereaux JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Harley Ellis Devereaux sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanics?
Yes, Harley Ellis Devereaux has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas, including for skilled roles in its construction and facilities operations. Mechanics whose roles meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, typically requiring at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, are eligible candidates for H-1B sponsorship at this company.
How do I apply for Mechanic jobs at Harley Ellis Devereaux?
You can find open Mechanic positions through Harley Ellis Devereaux's careers portal or by browsing verified listings on Migrate Mate, which filters for employers with active visa sponsorship histories. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight equipment-specific experience relevant to construction or facilities maintenance, and be direct about your sponsorship needs in your cover letter.
Which visa types are commonly used for Mechanic roles at Harley Ellis Devereaux?
Harley Ellis Devereaux sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas under the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. For Mechanic roles, EB-3 is the more common Green Card pathway since it covers skilled workers with at least two years of training or experience, and it does not require the advanced degree that EB-2 typically demands.
What qualifications does Harley Ellis Devereaux expect for sponsored Mechanic positions?
Candidates typically need hands-on experience with heavy construction equipment or building systems, plus relevant trade certifications such as ASE credentials. Because the company operates across large-scale construction and real estate projects, familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and site safety compliance is expected. Formal technical training or an associate degree strengthens both your candidacy and the sponsorship petition.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Mechanic role at Harley Ellis Devereaux?
For H-1B sponsorship, the timeline runs roughly six to eight months from filing to start date under standard processing, though premium processing with USCIS can reduce the adjudication period to around 15 business days. EB-3 Green Card cases involving PERM labor certification typically take one to two years before USCIS receives the immigrant petition, with additional time for visa availability depending on your country of birth.
