More About Hopper
At Hopper, we are on a mission to become the leading travel platform globally – powering Hopper’s mobile app, website and our B2B business, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). By leveraging massive amounts of data and advanced machine learning algorithms, Hopper combines its world-class travel agency offering with proprietary fintech products to bring transparency, flexibility and savings to travelers globally. We have developed several unique fintech solutions that address everything from pricing volatility to trip disruptions – helping people travel better and save more on their trips. The Hopper platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers globally and continues to capture market share around the world. The Hopper app has been downloaded over 120 million times and has become largely popular among younger travelers – with 70% of its users being Gen Z and millennials. While everyone knows us as the Gen Z and Millennial travel app, Hopper has evolved to become much more than that. In recent years, we’ve grown into a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency that powers some of the world’s largest brands. Through HTS, our B2B division, the company supercharges its partners’ direct channels by integrating our fintech products on their sites or powering end-to-end travel portals. Today, our partners include leading travel brands like Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, and many more. Here are just a few stats that demonstrate the company’s recent growth:
- Billions of dollars worth of travel and travel fintech are sold through Hopper and HTS’ channels every year.
- Our fintech products – including Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance – have exceptionally strong CSAT because the terms are always clear, and customers receive instant, no-questions-asked resolutions.
- Almost 30% of our app customers purchase at least one fintech product when making a booking; and consumers are 1.6x more likely to repurchase if they add fintech to their booking vs if they booked just travel.
Given the success of its fintech products, Hopper launched a B2B initiative, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions), which represents more than 75% of the business. Through HTS, any travel provider (airlines, hotels, banks, travel agencies, etc.) can integrate and seamlessly distribute Hopper’s fintech or travel inventory on their direct channels. As its first HTS partnership, the company partnered with Capital One to co-develop Capital One Travel, a new travel portal designed specifically for cardholders. Other HTS partners include Air Canada, Uber, CommBank, Nubank, Flair Airlines and many more. Hopper has been named the #1 most innovative company in travel by Fast Company. Hopper has been downloaded over 120 million times and continues to have millions of new installs each month. Hopper is now the #3 largest online travel agency in North America and 70% of our app customers are Gen-Z and millennials travelers. Hopper has raised over $750 million USD of private capital and is backed by some of the largest institutional investors and banks in the world. HTS is primed to continue its growth as the leading travel ecommerce provider in a $1 trillion online shopping category. The Hopper app and website will also continue to be the preferred travel provider for Gen Z and Millennials. Come take off with us!

Frame your PM credentials around travel tech
Hopper sits at the intersection of hospitality and consumer software, so position your portfolio around product launches, platform migrations, or operational scaling in travel, tourism, or marketplace environments. Generic PM credentials won't stand out.
Verify Hopper's E-Verify enrollment before applying
Employers must be enrolled in E-Verify to sponsor H-1B workers. Confirm Hopper's enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search tool before investing significant time tailoring your application materials.
Target roles tied to core product verticals
Hopper organizes its PM hiring around specific product areas like flights, hotels, and fintech features. Applications tied to a named vertical signal genuine product knowledge and align better with the roles most likely to support visa sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by sponsorship history
Searching broadly wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Migrate Mate lets you filter Project Manager openings at Hopper by visa sponsorship track record, so you're only applying where your immigration status is already a workable fit.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Before signing, confirm whether Hopper will cover H-1B filing fees, include premium processing, and support EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship down the line. These details vary by team and aren't always spelled out in the offer letter.
Build your specialty occupation case with your offer letter
USCIS requires the H-1B role to qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Work with your immigration attorney to ensure your offer letter describes duties that clearly support that standard for a PM role.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hopper sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Hopper has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, business, or engineering. Your employer files the petition with USCIS, and subject to the annual cap and lottery, sponsorship can proceed from there.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Manager roles at Hopper?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa path for Project Managers at technology companies like Hopper. If you're pursuing permanent residence, Hopper has also sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. The right category depends on your education, experience, and the specific role requirements.
What qualifications or experience does Hopper expect for Project Manager roles?
Hopper's PM hiring typically looks for experience managing cross-functional product or operational initiatives, ideally within travel technology, consumer marketplaces, or fintech. Familiarity with agile delivery, data-informed decision-making, and working across engineering and design teams is commonly expected. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is standard, and candidates with domain knowledge in flights, hotels, or loyalty products tend to be more competitive.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Hopper?
You can find and apply for Project Manager openings at Hopper through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles filtered by visa sponsorship history so you can focus on positions where international candidates are a realistic fit. When applying, tailor your materials to the specific product vertical the role sits in, and be explicit about your visa status early in the process so the recruiting team can loop in the right internal stakeholders.
How do I plan my timeline around H-1B sponsorship for a Hopper PM role?
The H-1B cap opens for registration in March each year, with an October 1 start date for selected petitions. If you're on OPT, confirm how much time remains and whether your degree qualifies for the 24-month STEM extension, which can bridge a gap if you aren't selected in your first lottery attempt. Starting the conversation with Hopper's recruiting team early in the calendar year gives both sides enough runway to prepare the petition.
