Frame your experience around enterprise accounts
HP's Customer Success roles focus on post-sale retention and expansion for enterprise hardware and IT solutions. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes from managing complex B2B relationships, not just support ticket volume or generic client satisfaction scores.
Identify roles tied to HP's core business units
HP structures Customer Success around specific product lines like printing, PCs, and managed services. Targeting roles within a defined business unit signals a clear fit and tends to move faster through internal approvals, which matters when visa timing is a factor.
Search HP's open roles using Migrate Mate
Filter Customer Success jobs at HP by visa type on Migrate Mate to surface positions where sponsorship has been filed before. This cuts down research time and helps you focus your applications on roles with a documented sponsorship track record in this function.
Clarify sponsorship scope before offer stage
HP sponsors multiple visa categories for Customer Success, but eligibility depends on your nationality and the specific role. Ask your recruiter directly whether the position supports your visa type before you reach the offer stage to avoid delays late in the process.
Confirm your LCA is filed before your start date
Your employer must receive a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS can approve an H-1B petition. If your start date is firm, push your HP recruiter to initiate LCA filing as early as possible since DOL processing adds time you can't recover.
Build your case for specialty occupation status
Customer Success titles can face USCIS scrutiny over specialty occupation qualification. Strengthen your petition by documenting that your role requires a degree in a specific field, such as computer science or business, not just general communication skills or product familiarity.

Find Customer Success at HP JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does HP sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success?
Yes, HP sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success roles. The process typically involves your hiring manager confirming sponsorship eligibility, HP's legal team filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, and then submitting an H-1B petition to USCIS. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing around the April lottery cycle matters significantly for your start date planning.
How do I apply for Customer Success jobs at HP?
Applications go through HP's careers portal at hp.com/careers. Search by function or job family using terms like 'Customer Success Manager' or 'Account Success.' Once you've identified a role, note the business unit and location before applying since these factors affect both team structure and visa sponsorship feasibility. Migrate Mate also lists HP's open Customer Success roles filtered by sponsorship type.
Which visa types does HP commonly use for Customer Success roles?
HP sponsors H-1B visas for most Customer Success positions, which is the standard path for nationals outside of treaty countries. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and is generally faster to obtain. For candidates targeting permanent residence, HP has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards in this function, typically after an initial period of employment.
What qualifications does HP expect for Customer Success roles?
HP's Customer Success positions in the Electronics and Hardware space typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. Practical experience managing enterprise accounts, ideally in IT infrastructure or managed services, carries significant weight. Familiarity with CRM platforms and experience navigating complex post-sale environments at B2B companies tends to differentiate candidates at the interview stage.
How do I think about timeline when pursuing a visa-sponsored role at HP?
If you're on OPT or a 60-day grace period, lead with that in early recruiter conversations so HP's HR team can assess whether your timeline is workable. H-1B cap cases require registration in March for an October 1 start, which can create a gap of several months. E-3 applicants have more flexibility since there's no annual cap and consular processing can move in a matter of weeks.
