Align your portfolio to healthcare data
Humana's analytics work centers on claims data, member health outcomes, and risk modeling. Before applying, tailor your portfolio to show experience with large-scale healthcare or insurance datasets, even if your background is in adjacent industries like finance or pharma.
Prioritize roles specifying dbt or Snowflake
Humana's Analytics Engineer postings frequently call out dbt, Snowflake, and SQL as hard requirements. Roles that list these explicitly tend to move faster through headcount approval, which shortens the window between offer and petition filing.
Clarify sponsorship scope before your final interview
Humana sponsors multiple visa categories, but not every hiring team handles all of them. Confirm which visa types the specific business unit supports before your final round, so there are no surprises when the offer letter arrives.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Analytics Engineer openings
Humana posts Analytics Engineer roles across multiple business units, and not all listings surface visa sponsorship details. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Humana postings that confirm sponsorship eligibility, so you're not applying blind.
Prepare for PERM labor market evidence early
If your goal is Green Card sponsorship via EB-2 or EB-3, understand that PERM requires Humana to document a domestic labor market test. Gaps in your specialty or unusual degree equivalencies can slow that process, so resolve credential documentation before you need it.

Find Analytics Engineer at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers. The company has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for technical roles that require specialized data skills, and Analytics Engineer positions fall squarely in that category. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, it's worth raising sponsorship directly with the recruiter once you receive an offer.
Which visa types does Humana commonly use for Analytics Engineer roles?
Humana sponsors a range of visa categories for Analytics Engineers, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs, and J-1 for eligible exchange visitors. For longer-term permanent residence, Humana also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does Humana expect for Analytics Engineer roles?
Humana's Analytics Engineer postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, statistics, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with dbt, Snowflake, SQL, and data pipeline tooling is consistently listed. Healthcare domain knowledge is preferred but not always required. For H-1B purposes, your degree must align specifically with the role's technical requirements to satisfy the specialty occupation standard.
How do I apply for Analytics Engineer jobs at Humana?
You can apply through Humana's careers portal directly. For a faster way to identify roles that confirm visa sponsorship, browse Analytics Engineer listings at Humana on Migrate Mate, which filters for sponsorship-eligible positions. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight the specific data tools listed in the job description, since Humana's technical screens tend to closely mirror the posted requirements.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship for an Analytics Engineer role at Humana?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT students have up to 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension available for qualifying degrees, giving you runway to pursue H-1B sponsorship through the annual lottery. TN status can be initiated at the border or port of entry with minimal lead time. For H-1B cap filings, USCIS registration opens in early March each year, so offers and internal approvals need to be in place before then.
