Tailor your resume to legal placement standards
Jobot fills Paralegal roles across practice areas, so your resume should specify your specialty, whether litigation, corporate, immigration, or real estate. Placement firms move fast, and a clearly scoped resume gets you matched to the right opening first.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before each application
Jobot posts a high volume of Paralegal openings, but not every listing carries sponsorship. Filter for roles that explicitly list H-1B or OPT support before applying, or you risk investing time in an offer that can't move forward.
Use Migrate Mate to find Jobot Paralegal openings
Jobot's listings span dozens of job boards and move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to surface Paralegal roles at Jobot that are verified for visa sponsorship, so you're only applying where your work authorization is actually supported.
Align your visa timeline with Jobot's placement cycle
Staffing firms like Jobot work on client timelines, not USCIS timelines. If you're on F-1 OPT, communicate your exact authorization end date upfront so your recruiter can match you to roles that start and close within your valid work period.
Ask recruiters which end clients accept sponsored candidates
As a staffing firm, Jobot places Paralegals with outside clients who make the final hiring call. Some clients won't accept sponsored candidates regardless of role. Confirm early in your recruiter conversation whether the end client has agreed to sponsorship before you go through interviews.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Once a Paralegal offer is ready, USCIS and DOL timelines move quickly. Have your degree certificates, any credential evaluations, and prior visa records organized in advance so your employer can file the Labor Condition Application without delays from your side.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Paralegals?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Paralegal roles. As a staffing and recruiting firm, Jobot acts as the petitioning employer, but placement is typically with an end client whose needs shape the role's requirements. Not every Paralegal listing at Jobot includes sponsorship, so confirm with your recruiter before advancing through the interview process.
How do I apply for Paralegal jobs at Jobot?
You can apply directly through Jobot's website or find their Paralegal listings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles verified for visa sponsorship. When you apply, include your visa status and authorization end date in your initial message to the recruiter. Jobot moves quickly on placements, so a clear, complete application avoids back-and-forth that slows your timeline.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Paralegal roles?
Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas and supported F-1 OPT candidates for Paralegal positions, and TN visa classification is available for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals. Paralegal typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B, but your specific degree field and job duties need to align. Discuss your visa category early with your Jobot recruiter to confirm the right path.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for sponsored Paralegal roles?
Most Paralegal openings at Jobot require a bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, combined with relevant practice area experience. Because Jobot places candidates with law firms and corporate legal departments across the country, the end client often sets the bar. Specialized experience in litigation, corporate transactions, or immigration law strengthens your candidacy and supports the specialty occupation argument for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I time my application given H-1B and OPT deadlines?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you need a job offer and an active OPT authorization card before you can start work. For H-1B, USCIS opens registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. Because Jobot works on client timelines, start outreach several months before your authorization ends to leave room for placement, offer negotiation, and filing without a gap in work authorization.
