INTRODUCTION
We’re hiring experienced Process Technicians to support a high-speed, continuous manufacturing operation producing engineered polymer-based materials. This is a hands-on role focused on process control, equipment optimization, quality assurance, and troubleshooting within a thermally driven production environment. You’ll work on a complex production line that involves polymer handling, heating, extrusion, cooling, bonding, and roll-based material processing, where small adjustments can have a major impact on product quality, efficiency, and uptime. This role sits at the intersection of operations, maintenance, and process improvement, making it ideal for technicians who like to understand why a process behaves the way it does — not just how to run it. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, process-minded technicians with experience in plastics, extrusion, injection molding, blown film, textiles, or other continuous manufacturing environments.
COMPENSATION
- $23- $31/hr
SHIFTS
- Days and nights available
- Fixed 2-2-3 schedule
- Days: 7:00am - 7:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Process Operation & Adjustment – Operate, set up, and fine-tune continuous production equipment involving polymer heating, forming, cooling, and bonding to maintain stable, repeatable output.
- Process Monitoring & Control – Monitor temperatures, pressures, speeds, and material behavior; identify abnormal conditions and take corrective action before quality or throughput are impacted.
- Advanced Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues; distinguish between equipment failures and process-driven defects.
- Preventive Maintenance & Calibration – Perform routine inspections, adjustments, minor repairs, and calibration activities to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operation.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation – Perform in-process quality checks, verify conformance to specifications, document results, and support traceability and compliance requirements.
- Data Analysis & Process Optimization – Enter production data, analyze trends, and recommend parameter changes or process improvements to improve yield, reduce waste, and stabilize output.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement long-term corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Continuous Improvement Support – Participate in waste reduction, efficiency improvements, standard work development, and process standardization efforts.
- Operator Training & Support – Train and mentor operators on proper equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, quality checks, and safe work practices.
- Safety, 5S & Compliance – Maintain clean and organized work areas, follow SOPs and safety protocols, and support a strong safety culture in a high-temperature, industrial environment.

Align your credentials to LCA-defined requirements
laborup files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before extending sponsored offers. Review your degree, certifications, and hands-on technical training against the prevailing wage level for Manufacturing Technician roles in your target region so nothing stalls at that stage.
Target laborup's staffing pipeline early
As a staffing and recruiting firm, laborup matches candidates to client facilities, not just internal openings. Applying before a client engagement is filled gives you the best chance of being presented as a sponsored candidate rather than competing after a placement is nearly closed.
Clarify OPT or CPT authorization before your interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether your STEM OPT extension covers Manufacturing Technician work under your designated CIP code. Recruiters at staffing firms move quickly, and having your EAD card details and employment authorization dates ready prevents delays in the offer stage.
Understand TN eligibility for technician-level roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals should verify that the specific Manufacturing Technician job description aligns with a qualifying TN occupation category before applying. The DOL and USCIS assess the actual duties, not just the title, so misalignment can cause a TN denial at the border.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment with your recruiter
Staffing firms placing workers at third-party client sites must be E-Verify enrolled to legally employ sponsored workers. Ask laborup's recruiter directly whether the placement site and the employing entity are both enrolled before accepting any offer that depends on your work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to find open positions efficiently
Manufacturing Technician roles at staffing firms cycle through quickly and don't always stay posted long. Use Migrate Mate to filter laborup's active openings by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing from a generic job listing.

Does laborup sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technicians?
laborup has sponsored H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technician roles. As a staffing and recruiting firm, sponsorship is typically tied to a confirmed client placement rather than a standing internal position. You'll need a specialty occupation job description that meets USCIS H-1B criteria, which means the role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Technician jobs at laborup?
You can browse and apply for Manufacturing Technician openings at laborup through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can target positions that already match your work authorization. When you apply, be ready to specify your current visa status and authorization timeline upfront. Recruiters at staffing firms prioritize candidates who can communicate their sponsorship needs clearly from the first conversation.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Technician roles at laborup?
laborup has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Manufacturing Technician roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are most common for recent graduates starting out. TN is an efficient path for Canadian or Mexican nationals whose role and credentials meet the qualifying occupation criteria. H-1B is used for longer-term sponsorship when the position meets specialty occupation standards.
What qualifications are expected for Manufacturing Technician roles at laborup?
Most Manufacturing Technician openings at laborup require hands-on experience with production equipment, quality control processes, or assembly line operations. A technical degree or associate's credential in a relevant engineering or manufacturing field strengthens your application. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, USCIS requires the role to demonstrate that a bachelor's degree in a specific discipline is a normal minimum requirement for the position.
How do I time my application around H-1B cap deadlines as a Manufacturing Technician candidate?
The H-1B cap registration window typically opens in March, with an October 1 employment start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date and whether your 24-month STEM extension covers the gap. laborup would need to submit your H-1B petition after a successful lottery selection, so beginning conversations with recruiters in January or February gives enough runway to prepare your case.
