Obtain State Licensure Before Applying
LifeStance Health operates across dozens of states, and clinical roles require active licensure in the state where you'll practice. Confirm your credential is transferable or begin reciprocity applications early, since licensure delays can stall visa filing timelines significantly.
Target Roles Tied to PERM Eligibility
LifeStance Health has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for healthcare professionals. When evaluating open positions, prioritize roles with full-time, permanent status, since PERM labor certification at DOL requires the employer to demonstrate a genuine ongoing need.
Clarify OPT Cap-Out Timing with Your Recruiter
If you're working on F-1 OPT, confirm exactly when your authorization expires before your first interview. LifeStance Health has hired on CPT and OPT, but the clinical onboarding process can run six to ten weeks, which can compress your remaining work authorization window.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter LifeStance Health Healthcare Openings
LifeStance Health posts roles across many specialties and states simultaneously, making it hard to isolate sponsorship-eligible positions. Use Migrate Mate to filter LifeStance Health healthcare jobs by visa type so you apply only to roles aligned with your immigration status.
Understand the TN Visa Fit for Your Role
TN classification covers specific healthcare occupations for Canadian and Mexican nationals, including physical therapists, medical technologists, and certain nurses. Confirm your exact job title maps to a DOL-recognized TN category before accepting an offer framed around that pathway.
Request a Written Sponsorship Commitment at Offer Stage
Before accepting an offer, ask LifeStance Health's HR team to confirm in writing which visa category they'll sponsor and whether legal fees are covered. Getting this documented prevents ambiguity once the USCIS petition preparation process begins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LifeStance Health sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
LifeStance Health's primary sponsorship pathways for healthcare roles are employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) rather than H-1B visa. That said, eligibility depends on the specific role, your qualifications, and your current immigration status. Clinical positions in specialty areas may have different options than administrative or support healthcare roles, so it's worth clarifying directly with the recruiting team during the interview process.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at LifeStance Health?
You can browse and apply to LifeStance Health's healthcare openings directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, confirm you hold the required state licensure for the location listed, since LifeStance Health's clinical roles are state-specific and licensure is a hard requirement at the offer stage.
Which visa types does LifeStance Health commonly use for Healthcare roles?
LifeStance Health has supported F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and employment-based Green Card sponsorship (EB-2 and EB-3) for healthcare positions. The right pathway depends on your nationality, current status, and the nature of the role. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations. OPT and CPT work for candidates currently on F-1 student status.
What qualifications does LifeStance Health expect for Healthcare roles?
Requirements vary by position, but clinical roles typically require an accredited degree in a relevant healthcare field, active licensure in the applicable U.S. state, and in some cases prior clinical experience in a U.S. or equivalent healthcare setting. Administrative and care coordination roles may require a bachelor's degree plus familiarity with U.S. insurance and billing systems. Confirm licensure portability early if you trained outside the U.S.
How do I handle immigration timing when accepting a Healthcare offer from LifeStance Health?
The clinical onboarding process at LifeStance Health can take several weeks due to credentialing and background checks, so align your immigration timeline accordingly. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date before signing. For employer-sponsored Green Card pathways, PERM labor certification at DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months, so begin that conversation with HR before your current work authorization lapses.
