INTRODUCTION
Director – NDSF Sales Professionals (SaaS, Software & Payment Processing)
At North, we’re reimagining how businesses manage payments—making it simpler and more intuitive for restaurants, retailers, and local entrepreneurs. As a Director leading our Sales Professionals for North’s Direct Field Sales team (NDFS), you’ll be at the forefront of this transformation, coaching and empowering a team of driven sales pros who help businesses in your community thrive. You’ll guide them in bringing North’s cutting-edge SaaS platforms and payment processing solutions to life, ensuring they’re equipped to deliver an outstanding experience to every client they serve. Your leadership will shape not only their success but also the growth of our company’s footprint in local markets. This role is perfect for someone who loves building high-performing teams, fostering strong relationships, and driving impactful results.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll do:
- Lead a team of talented Sales Professionals focused on meeting—and exceeding—North’s annual revenue and profitability goals.
- Create and execute sales plans designed to break into new markets, expand our presence in the community, and build valuable referral partnerships.
- Collaborate with teams across North—sales support, product development, and client services—to ensure seamless onboarding and a superior customer experience for every new client.
- Embrace and promote company initiatives and new programs, ensuring your team stays ahead of the curve.
- Share insights, data, and recommendations with senior leadership to help identify process improvements and growth opportunities.
- Other responsibilities as assigned—because we’re always growing and evolving!
What this role is not:
Are you ready to lead from the front?... Literally! At North, we expect our Directors to roll up their sleeves and actively recruit, build, coach, and support their team. You’ll be in the field, pulling doors with your Sales Professionals, demonstrating what great leadership looks like by getting in the trenches. Your team’s success is your success—if they’re not hitting quota, neither are you. This role is for those who embrace the grind and thrive on leading from the front, not for those who prefer to watch from the sidelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Completion of a drug screening
- Must live in or near your assigned sales region
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Typically 6+ years of professional experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role—someone who knows how to motivate and guide a team to success.
- Experience in SaaS, software, or payment processing is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- This is a W2 position with medical, dental, life, and disability benefits to keep you healthy and secure.
- Compensation is commission-based with no cap, and our top-performing Directors can expect to earn $90,000–$130,000+ in their first year, thanks to uncapped weekly commissions, lifetime residuals, and portfolio equity.
- Recognition programs to celebrate your hard work and achievements.
- A 401(k) with matching to support your long-term financial goals.

Frame your experience around consultative sales
North operates in consulting and professional services, so interviewers want sales candidates who can manage complex, long-cycle deals with enterprise clients. Reframe your resume around pipeline management, stakeholder engagement, and revenue outcomes, not just quota attainment.
Verify North's E-Verify enrollment before applying
H-1B sponsorship requires the employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm North's enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search tool before investing significant time in the application process. This rules out dead ends early.
Target roles with a defined territory or vertical
Sales roles tied to a specific industry vertical or named account territory are easier to sponsor because the specialty occupation requirement is clearer. When reviewing open roles at North, prioritize listings that specify a client segment or solution area over generalist titles.
Align your degree field to the posted job requirements
H-1B approval for Sales roles depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation. A degree in business, marketing, or a related field strengthens your petition. If your degree field doesn't align directly, documented industry-specific training or certifications can help close the gap.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Consulting firms sometimes delay the sponsorship conversation until late in the process. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific Sales role you're interviewing for has been sponsored before, so you're not navigating a first-time internal approval under a tight offer deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Sales roles at North
Browsing sponsoring employers by role and industry saves you from cold-applying to companies without a sponsorship track record. Search Migrate Mate to surface current Sales openings at North alongside its sponsorship history for this function before you reach out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does North sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, North has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales roles. Sponsorship is not automatic for every open position, so it's worth confirming with the recruiter early in the process whether the specific role you're applying to is eligible. Sales roles tied to a defined client vertical or solution area tend to have a clearer path to approval.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at North?
You can find current Sales openings at North through Migrate Mate, which filters for employers with active visa sponsorship histories so you can apply with more confidence. When you apply, tailor your materials to North's consulting and professional services context, emphasizing complex deal cycles, client relationship management, and measurable revenue outcomes rather than transactional sales experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales roles at North?
The H-1B is the primary work visa used for Sales roles at North. To qualify, the position must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which generally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Sales roles with a defined technical, financial, or industry-specific scope are more straightforward to sponsor under this standard than broad generalist titles.
What qualifications and experience does North expect for Sales roles?
North's Sales roles sit within a consulting and professional services environment, so the bar typically includes experience managing enterprise or mid-market client relationships, a track record of owning a full sales cycle, and familiarity with solution-based or consultative selling. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a closely related field is generally expected and supports the H-1B specialty occupation requirement.
How do I plan my timeline around H-1B sponsorship at North?
The standard H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for selected petitions. If you receive an offer from North outside the lottery window, your start date may be deferred to the following October unless a cap-exempt pathway applies. Build this into your negotiation early so your offer timeline and current visa status, including any grace period, align with the filing calendar.
