Frame your sales experience around storage metrics
Public Storage evaluates sales candidates on occupancy conversion, customer retention, and rental volume. Reframe your resume around those outcomes, not generic revenue numbers. Hiring managers in self-storage want to see property-level sales performance, not enterprise deal cycles.
Confirm visa types before submitting your application
Public Storage sponsors multiple visa categories for Sales roles. Before applying, verify which classification fits your situation. H-1B cap timing, TN eligibility, and OPT duration each carry different deadlines that affect whether you can start on time.
Target district-level openings, not just corporate roles
Public Storage staffs sales positions at the property and district level across dozens of states. Roles closer to the field often move faster through hiring and are more likely to trigger sponsorship because they're tied to direct revenue operations, not back-office functions.
Request LCA filing details during the offer stage
Before signing an offer, ask whether the Labor Condition Application has been filed with DOL and confirm the prevailing wage tier for your location. LCA filing timelines affect your start date, so knowing where the employer stands prevents last-minute delays.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Sales openings at Public Storage
Search Migrate Mate to find current Sales roles at Public Storage that are confirmed for visa sponsorship. Filtering by company and role category saves time and ensures you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Get your specialty occupation documentation ready early
For H-1B petitions, USCIS must approve the Sales role as a specialty occupation. Gather your degree transcripts, any relevant real estate or sales certifications, and a written summary of how your academic background directly supports the specific duties of the role.

Find Sales at Public Storage JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Public Storage sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Public Storage has a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Sales positions. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Sales roles tied to property management, business development, or real estate operations are the most likely to meet that threshold.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Public Storage?
You can browse and apply for Sales roles at Public Storage directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsored positions. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight property-level sales outcomes and customer conversion experience. Indicate your visa status upfront so the recruiting team can route your application appropriately.
Which visa types does Public Storage commonly use for Sales roles?
Public Storage sponsors H-1B visas for longer-term Sales hires and accommodates F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering sales functions. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. For permanent residency pathways, EB-2 and EB-3 classifications are used depending on the role's requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
What qualifications does Public Storage expect for sponsored Sales positions?
Sales roles at Public Storage typically require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in customer-facing sales environments. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree should align directly with the role's core duties. Experience in real estate, property management, or retail operations strengthens your candidacy and supports the specialty occupation determination.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing a sponsored Sales role at Public Storage?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, the annual cap registration window opens in March and employment can begin October 1 at the earliest. OPT and TN holders can start sooner if an offer is in hand and paperwork is filed promptly. Build at least two to three months of lead time into your job search to allow for LCA filing, offer negotiation, and petition preparation.
