Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Robert Half's Talent Development Manager roles require a degree directly tied to instructional design, organizational development, or HR. Document how your degree field maps to the role's core functions before applying, since USCIS evaluates this match when adjudicating petitions.
Target Robert Half's enterprise consulting divisions first
Internal Talent Development roles that support Robert Half's own workforce are more likely to carry sponsorship support than contract placements. Look for postings under corporate functions rather than client-facing staffing verticals when filtering open positions.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
Robert Half must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting any work visa petition. Clarify whether the LCA has been initiated before you give notice at a current employer, since the DOL certification window adds time you can't compress.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Talent Development Manager openings
Migrate Mate lets you search Robert Half's Talent Development Manager postings filtered by visa type, so you can identify which specific roles and divisions have an active sponsorship history rather than cold-applying across all open listings.
Prepare a portfolio of measurable L&D program outcomes
Robert Half's consulting culture ties Talent Development work to business impact metrics. Bring documented examples of training programs you designed alongside completion rates, performance lift, or retention outcomes. This directly strengthens the specialty occupation argument in your petition.
Understand your visa category's portability before day one
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, confirm with Robert Half's HR team whether your start date allows enough runway to file the next petition before your OPT authorization expires. The 60-day grace period does not extend your work authorization.

Find Talent Development Manager at Robert Half JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Robert Half sponsor H-1B visas for Talent Development Managers?
Robert Half sponsors H-1B visas for Talent Development Managers, but this role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning your degree must align specifically with the learning and development or organizational effectiveness functions of the job. Generalist HR backgrounds without a clear field match can face additional scrutiny during adjudication.
How do I apply for Talent Development Manager jobs at Robert Half?
Apply directly through Robert Half's careers portal or browse open Talent Development Manager roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight instructional design systems, program management, and any experience supporting enterprise-scale workforce development, since Robert Half's internal Talent Development function operates at that level.
Which visa types does Robert Half commonly sponsor for Talent Development Manager roles?
Robert Half sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates in qualifying programs. For longer-term employment, the company has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Talent Development professionals in established roles, typically after a period of demonstrated performance.
What qualifications does Robert Half expect for a sponsored Talent Development Manager?
Robert Half looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly related to the role, such as instructional design, organizational development, human resources, or education. Practical experience designing learning curricula, managing LMS platforms, and measuring training effectiveness is expected. Consulting industry experience or familiarity with professional services workforce structures strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if Robert Half is sponsoring my visa for this role?
Build in at least four to six weeks for the DOL Labor Condition Application process before any USCIS petition can be filed. If you're transitioning from OPT, confirm your cap-gap coverage window with HR immediately after receiving an offer. For E-3 applicants, consular processing at an Australian embassy can move faster, often within a few weeks of receiving a certified LCA.
