SUMMARY
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Quality and Compliance Administrator is responsible for managing data to support institutional oversight of residency and fellowship programs. They play a critical role in the administration of institutional GME operations with a primary focus on accreditation. They are responsible for program quality and compliance monitoring and reporting processes under the supervision of the Accreditation and Improvement Manager. They apply knowledge of graduate medical education and accreditation requirements to contextualize data reporting and make recommendations for compliance and improvement activities. They report on compliance and accreditation requirements to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and other institutional stakeholders. The GME Program Quality and Compliance Administrator will manage multiple projects and competing priorities while providing high-quality, polished work to stakeholders and colleagues.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience as the administrator of a GME program
- Proficiency with GME systems including ACGME ADS and a residency management system (i.e., MedHub or New Innovations)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- Strong organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Analyze ACGME survey data to identify and report on underperforming programs and institutional trends.
- Monitor and report on programs’ ACGME accreditation statuses, citations, and areas for improvement to facilitate GMEC oversight of programs.
- Develop GME house staff survey content areas and analyze and report on survey data.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to support the GMEC’s special reviews of programs.
- Conduct program quality assessments by collecting data and developing reports.
- Oversee institutional Annual Program Evaluation (APE) review, including developing review processes and reporting on program quality and compliance to the GMEC.
- Monitor program compliance with accreditation reporting requirements.
- Report on institutional and program quality and compliance to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting for high-stakes decisions with attention to detail and context.
- Recommend and monitor performance benchmarks used to identify underperforming programs and outliers.
- Recommend and contribute to the development of resources to improve program compliance and support.
- Contribute to process improvements in data collection, monitoring, and reporting by the GME Office and programs.
- Collaborate on efforts to create, revise, and monitor compliance with GME policies.
- Develop new data analysis tools and propose improvements to data collection and reporting methods.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by providing guidance to the Rush GME community about data collection, quality, compliance, and accreditation. Develop communications and resources to support program directors and administrators.
- Manage data collection and reporting in multiple systems, including ACGME ADS, MedHub, and Airtable.
- Adapts to changing priorities and performs additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the overall mission and strategic goals of the GME office.
