This provider will manage routine, non-surgical conditions (e.g. infection, frequency, hematuria, abnormal labs), and support post-operative and hospital follow-up care, including void trials and catheter exchanges.
Practice alongside two Urologists in a high-quality, patient-centered ambulatory environment. Part of a nationally ranked academic health system with strong APP leadership and support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Five, 8-hour shifts/week
- Weekdays
- No call
- 100% outpatient with occasional inpatient coverage planned in future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Urology or surgical specialty (General Surgery, or related fields).
- Ambulatory experience is strongly preferred.
- Relevant RN experience will be considered.
- APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

Nurse Practitioner:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
- Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Physician Assistant:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.
