Align your credentials to HRSA standards
Sea Mar operates federally qualified health centers, so clinical roles often require credentials recognized under HRSA guidelines. Verify your degree equivalency and licensure meet Washington State requirements before applying, since state licensure directly affects your I-129 petition timeline.
Target bilingual healthcare openings strategically
Sea Mar serves a large Spanish-speaking population and frequently prioritizes bilingual candidates. Roles requiring Spanish fluency in community health settings tend to have a narrower qualified applicant pool, which can work in your favor during the sponsorship conversation.
Research Sea Mar's open roles on Migrate Mate
Browse Healthcare positions at Sea Mar specifically filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. This saves time by surfacing roles where sponsorship has already been confirmed, so you apply where it counts.
Confirm PERM eligibility before accepting EB-2 or EB-3 offers
If Sea Mar discusses permanent residency sponsorship, ask whether your role qualifies for PERM labor certification. Community health roles sometimes involve shortage area waivers that affect the standard PERM process and your timeline to a Green Card.
Document clinical hours for specialty occupation evidence
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for healthcare roles closely. Gather letters from supervisors, licensure records, and job descriptions that clearly establish your position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific clinical field, not a general healthcare background.

Find Healthcare at Sea Mar Community Health Centers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sea Mar Community Health Centers sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Sea Mar Community Health Centers sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying healthcare roles. As a federally qualified health center, Sea Mar may also qualify as a nonprofit affiliated with higher education or research institutions, which can open cap-exempt H-1B filing options. Confirm cap-exempt eligibility with Sea Mar's HR team early in the process, since it affects your filing timeline significantly.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Sea Mar Community Health Centers?
You can find and apply for Sea Mar's Healthcare roles through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify roles where your work authorization situation is already accounted for. When you apply, tailor your application to Sea Mar's community health model, emphasizing patient-facing experience in underserved or multilingual settings, which aligns directly with their mission.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Sea Mar Community Health Centers?
Sea Mar sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation clinical roles and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas for candidates pursuing permanent residency. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for eligible students in clinical training programs, and TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations. The right pathway depends on your role, nationality, and long-term authorization goals.
What qualifications and experience does Sea Mar expect for Healthcare positions?
Sea Mar's healthcare roles typically require U.S.-recognized clinical licensure or certification relevant to the position, whether that's an RN license, medical degree, or behavioral health credential under Washington State requirements. Bilingual ability in Spanish is a meaningful advantage given their patient population. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must directly correspond to the specialty occupation your role falls under, not just general healthcare training.
How do I handle timing if I'm on F-1 OPT applying to Sea Mar?
If you're on F-1 OPT, start your application early enough to allow Sea Mar to file an H-1B petition before your OPT expires. STEM OPT extensions can provide additional runway, but not all healthcare degrees qualify as STEM. Confirm your classification with your Designated School Official and communicate your OPT end date to Sea Mar's HR team at the first interview stage, not after receiving an offer.
