About The Role
We are seeking a leader to scale a high-performing team of Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs). This is a role that sits at the heart of our Delivery organization, reporting directly to the Head of Delivery. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of our technical delivery function, enabling TDMs to execute projects with rigor, quality, and consistency while also elevating operational strategy. You’ll balance day-to-day project oversight with people leadership, coaching, and long-term capability building. As a player-coach, you’ll manage delivery workflows, mentor TDMs, and partner cross-functionally with research, engineering, product, and customer-facing teams. This is a highly impactful role for someone who thrives at the intersection of execution and strategy, building organizational muscle in a rapidly scaling environment.
What You’ll Do
- Enable delivery success: Provide oversight on complex customer projects, ensuring delivery is on-time, on-budget, and meets the highest standards of quality.
- Lead and manage the TDM team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a group of technical delivery managers, ensuring they are set up for success in delivering high-quality projects.
- Drive operational excellence: Establish best practices, playbooks, and scalable processes across project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Partner with leadership: Collaborate closely with the Head of Delivery to translate strategic goals into operational execution and team priorities.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with research, engineering, product, and client-facing teams to align delivery activities with broader business goals.
- Champion continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to innovate and streamline delivery methodologies, tooling, and reporting.
- Customer alignment: Support TDMs in interfacing with clients, helping refine scope, manage expectations, and ensure customer success.
- Data-driven management: Use metrics and insights to monitor delivery health, team performance, and customer impact.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 5+ years in technical delivery, operations, or program management, with 3+ years managing people or teams.
- Technical acumen: Strong grounding in data systems, analytics, or AI/ML concepts; comfort with SQL, Python, and data workflows is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven track record of developing and scaling high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
- Project delivery expertise: Ability to oversee complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects from start to finish.
- Communication skills: Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills to translate technical and operational concepts to diverse audiences.
- Business acumen: Skilled at assessing trade-offs, managing budgets, and aligning resources to business priorities.
- Mindset: Bias to action, resilience in fast-paced environments, and willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.

Frame Your Technical Leadership Credentials Early
Snorkel AI's Technical Manager roles sit at the intersection of AI research and engineering execution. Document cross-functional leadership experience explicitly, particularly managing teams delivering ML pipelines or data infrastructure, before you apply.
Verify Your OPT Timeline Against Interview Cycles
Snorkel AI's Technical Manager hiring moves through multiple interview rounds. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period covers at least 90 days beyond your target start date before entering the process.
Target Roles Aligned to Snorkel's Core Product Teams
Technical Manager openings tied to Snorkel AI's programmatic data labeling and foundation model products are more likely to progress to sponsorship than peripheral functions. Filter your applications toward those product-adjacent engineering leadership tracks.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Sponsoring Roles
Snorkel AI posts Technical Manager roles across multiple channels, not all of which flag sponsorship explicitly. Browse Migrate Mate to identify current openings verified for visa sponsorship before spending time on applications that won't move forward.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
TN status applies only to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA occupations. Before signing an offer, confirm with the recruiting team whether your role qualifies under TN or requires H-1B, so the petition timeline aligns with your expected start date.
Prepare for USCIS Specialty Occupation Scrutiny
H-1B petitions for Technical Manager roles can attract USCIS requests for evidence if the position blends management with hands-on engineering. Have your offer letter and job description clearly articulate the degree requirements specific to the role, not just general leadership duties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snorkel AI sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Managers?
Yes, Snorkel AI sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Manager roles. The company has an established pattern of supporting visa sponsorship for technical leadership positions. Because H-1B petitions for management-adjacent roles can attract specialty occupation scrutiny from USCIS, you should ensure the job description clearly ties the position to a specific degree requirement before the petition is filed.
How do I apply for Technical Manager jobs at Snorkel AI?
Applications go through Snorkel AI's careers page. To find roles confirmed for visa sponsorship, browse Migrate Mate, which filters active Technical Manager openings at Snorkel AI by sponsorship status. Before applying, review the role's requirements carefully since Snorkel AI typically expects hands-on ML or data infrastructure experience alongside team leadership, not just management background.
Which visa types does Snorkel AI commonly use for Technical Manager positions?
Snorkel AI sponsors H-1B visas for most international Technical Manager hires. F-1 OPT holders can begin work without a petition and are frequently supported through the H-1B cap process when their OPT period approaches expiration. Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying backgrounds may also be eligible for TN visa status, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What qualifications does Snorkel AI expect for Technical Manager roles?
Snorkel AI typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, or a related engineering discipline, plus direct experience managing technical teams building AI or data infrastructure products. For H-1B purposes, the degree field matters: your credentials should map directly to the role's technical scope, not just general management experience.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap if I'm on OPT?
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT and your authorization runs out before October, cap-gap protection may extend your status if your employer files the petition before OPT expires. Start conversations with Snorkel AI's recruiting team well before March to confirm the company will file in that registration window.
