Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Jobs at Thomson Reuters Jobs
Align your experience with Thomson Reuters product lines
Thomson Reuters organizes Operations around specific product verticals like Westlaw, Checkpoint, and ONESOURCE. Tailoring your resume to show familiarity with legal or tax workflow platforms signals direct fit and strengthens your sponsorship business case.
Document process improvement outcomes with measurable detail
H-1B specialty occupation approval for Operations roles increasingly requires demonstrating that the position demands a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's. Quantified process optimization results tied to a relevant discipline like industrial engineering or supply chain management sharpen that argument.
Target internal transfers to build immigration history
Thomson Reuters operates globally, and internal moves from a non-U.S. office can qualify for an L-1 visa before transitioning to H-1B. If you're already employed by a Thomson Reuters entity abroad, that pathway is worth exploring with their immigration team early.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Operations openings
Not every Operations listing at Thomson Reuters explicitly mentions sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles where visa support has been confirmed, so you're applying to positions where your status won't disqualify you before the first interview.
Understand the PERM timeline before accepting an offer
If Thomson Reuters offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for an Operations role, PERM labor certification typically runs 12 to 18 months before USCIS filing even begins. Knowing this helps you negotiate start dates and plan your visa status continuity without gaps.
Confirm LCA wage compliance for your specific location
Thomson Reuters has offices across multiple metropolitan areas with different DOL prevailing wage levels. Before your offer stage, verify that the offered salary meets the Level I or Level II wage for your specific worksite, since mismatches can delay or derail the H-1B filing.

Find Operations at Thomson Reuters JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Thomson Reuters sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Thomson Reuters sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. The company has an established immigration program that handles H-1B filings for qualified hires in this function. Because Operations roles must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, having a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly tied to the role strengthens your petition considerably.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Thomson Reuters?
Apply directly through Thomson Reuters' careers portal, which lists open Operations roles by location and business unit. You can also browse verified Operations openings at Thomson Reuters that confirm visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters roles specifically for candidates who need H-1B or employment-based sponsorship. Tailoring your application to the specific product line or division increases your chances.
Which visa types does Thomson Reuters typically use for Operations professionals?
Thomson Reuters most commonly uses the H-1B visa for Operations hires requiring specialty occupation status. For longer-term pathways, the company has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which involves PERM labor certification through the DOL. Candidates already working for a Thomson Reuters entity outside the U.S. may also be eligible to explore an L-1 intracompany transfer.
What qualifications does Thomson Reuters expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Most sponsored Operations roles at Thomson Reuters require a bachelor's degree in a directly relevant field such as business operations, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or information systems. Beyond credentials, the company looks for experience with enterprise software environments or large-scale process workflows, given that its Operations function supports complex legal, tax, and compliance technology platforms.
How do I plan my timeline if Thomson Reuters is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so your offer needs to be in place well before the March registration window. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility to bridge any gap. USCIS premium processing is available for faster approval, and your employer's immigration counsel typically manages the filing once your offer is finalized.
