Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Sales Jobs at Thomson Reuters Jobs
Align your background to Thomson Reuters verticals
Thomson Reuters sells into legal, tax, and financial compliance markets. Framing your Sales experience around SaaS, legal tech, or regulatory software makes you a stronger candidate than a generalist enterprise sales background.
Target roles with defined territory ownership
Account Executive and Enterprise Sales roles at Thomson Reuters typically come with named accounts or regional books of business. These roles have clearer headcount justification, which makes the employer's internal case for sponsorship more straightforward to approve.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before final interview rounds
Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific role is open to H-1B transfer or new cap-subject filings. Thomson Reuters posts broadly, but not every Sales opening is pre-cleared for sponsorship at the hiring manager level.
Prepare for the LCA prevailing wage requirement early
The DOL requires Thomson Reuters to certify your offered salary meets the prevailing wage for your job title and work location before filing your H-1B. If your offer is in a high-cost market like New York or San Francisco, verify this before accepting.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Sales openings
Sponsored Sales roles at large tech companies often get buried in general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface Thomson Reuters Sales positions that are confirmed open to visa sponsorship, so you're not spending time on listings that won't move forward.

Find Sales at Thomson Reuters JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Thomson Reuters sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Thomson Reuters sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, though not every open role is automatically eligible. Sponsorship decisions are made at the role level, so confirm with the recruiter before advancing through interviews. Roles in enterprise and solution sales tied to Thomson Reuters' legal and tax software divisions are most likely to include sponsorship.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Thomson Reuters?
You can apply directly through the Thomson Reuters careers site or browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific product vertical, whether that's legal, tax, or compliance software. Highlighting SaaS sales experience and any familiarity with professional services buyers will strengthen your application significantly.
Which visa types does Thomson Reuters commonly use for Sales hires?
Thomson Reuters primarily uses the H-1B visa for Sales professionals in specialty occupation roles, such as Solution Consultants or Enterprise Account Executives where a relevant degree is a stated requirement. For longer-term employees, the company supports employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3 classification, typically initiated via the PERM labor certification process with the DOL.
What qualifications does Thomson Reuters expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Most sponsored Sales roles at Thomson Reuters require a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or information systems, alongside demonstrated B2B or SaaS sales experience. Roles supporting legal or tax products often favor candidates with domain knowledge in those verticals. A history of meeting quota in a complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycle is weighted heavily in the evaluation process.
How do I think about timing if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Thomson Reuters Sales role?
The H-1B cap lottery runs once a year, with registrations typically opening in March and employment starting no earlier than October 1. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask Thomson Reuters whether an H-1B transfer from a current employer is possible, which bypasses the lottery entirely. Build at least three to four months of lead time into your job search to allow for offer, filing, and USCIS processing.
