ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join a dynamic global finance team. The Senior Cost Accountant will partner with a team of six others in US & Canada, and have joint responsibility for Accounting & Reporting for Supply Chain related accounts and activities, including Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold. Other key objectives of this role include business partnering with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse & Operations, as well as periodic budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement presentation, with a focus on Supply Chain accounting
- Partner with Purchasing function to forecast demand and process site-based purchase orders
- Drive improvement in financial operation metrics, with a focus on Inventory Months-on-Hand
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Develop and maintain internal control framework
- Balance Sheet & Gross Margin Variance Analysis
- Collaborate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance field
- 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent reasoning & analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP Experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a self-motivated, independent yet collaborative team player, eager to learn
COMPENSATION
- Expected Base Pay Range: $85,000 to $105,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.

Topcon time off policies vary between roles which are exempt or non-exempt. For hourly (“non-exempt”) employees, we offer personal paid time off which accrues in accordance with local standards. For salaried (“exempt”) employees, we offer a flexible paid time off policy giving you flexibility to take time when needed, while supporting business needs. All paid time off policies are in accordance with or exceeding local law. Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for our Health and Welfare benefit package.
