Job Roles at Udemy Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Udemy Visa Sponsorship USA
Focus on technical and product roles
Udemy's sponsored positions tend to concentrate in engineering, product management, and data science. If your background aligns with building or scaling a software platform, you're targeting the right function, tailor your application accordingly.
Highlight platform-scale experience
Udemy operates a global marketplace with millions of learners. Candidates who can demonstrate experience working on large-scale consumer or enterprise platforms signal immediate relevance to the infrastructure and product challenges Udemy's teams face.
Engage with Udemy's content and community before applying
Udemy's mission is rooted in accessible education. Candidates who reference genuine familiarity with the platform, its course catalog, or its instructor ecosystem come across as aligned with the company's purpose, not just looking for any sponsoring employer.
Apply early in Udemy's hiring cycles
For H-1B roles, timing matters significantly. Engaging with Udemy's recruiting team well before the April lottery window gives both sides enough runway to complete the petition process without scrambling on a tight deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Udemy openings
Searching broadly wastes time on employers who don't actually sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors with real sponsorship history, so you can filter directly to Udemy roles and apply with confidence that sponsorship is genuinely on the table.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Udemy sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Udemy sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of filing H-1B petitions primarily for technical roles in software engineering, product, and data. If you're targeting an H-1B, focus your applications on those departments and engage with recruiting early enough to allow time for the April lottery and petition filing process.
Which visa types does Udemy sponsor?
Udemy sponsors H-1B, Green Card (EB-2 and EB-3), F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. Green Card sponsorship is particularly notable and suggests the company is willing to invest in long-term immigration support for high-performing employees, not just initial work authorization.
Which departments or roles at Udemy are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Engineering, product management, and data science roles at Udemy have historically been the most sponsorship-active areas. Positions that require specialized technical skills, particularly in platform development, machine learning, and infrastructure, are where international candidates tend to have the strongest footing when requesting sponsorship.
What is the typical sponsorship timeline when applying to Udemy?
Timeline depends on the visa type. For H-1B, you need an offer in place before the March registration window, with the visa taking effect October 1 if selected. For F-1 OPT transitions, Udemy can begin the H-1B process while your OPT remains valid. Green Card sponsorship typically begins after a period of employment. Discuss timing transparently with your recruiter early in the process.
How do I find open roles at Udemy that include visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search for Udemy on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history. This removes the guesswork of whether a given posting genuinely includes sponsorship, letting you focus your time on applications where international candidates are actively considered and the company has a demonstrated track record.
