About The Role
This role is a key contributor to UKG’s corporate compliance program and will help scale the program toward public-company readiness. You will drive and coordinate high-impact compliance operations workstreams, execute a DOJ Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs (ECCP) aligned gap assessment, and deliver operational improvements across policy, training, monitoring, metrics, and documentation. You’ll partner with Compliance leadership to help modernize our operating model through automation, analytics, and responsible AI-enabled capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance Operations Manager to enhance the operational aspects of UKG’s corporate compliance program, including:

-
Partner with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, Security, HR, and business leaders to translate assessment outcomes into practical improvements and to track progress on remediation items; escalate blockers and risks to Compliance leadership.
-
Manage policy operations and governance (intake, drafting support, review/approvals, version control, publishing, attestations, and communications), ensuring consistent processes and audit-ready documentation.
-
Draft and update corporate compliance policies and procedures (e.g., Code of Conduct, conflicts of interest, gifts & entertainment, anti-corruption/anti-bribery, third-party due diligence, whistleblower/non-retaliation, records retention) and coordinate stakeholder review; partner with Legal on insider trading and disclosure-related procedures as applicable.
-
Drive initiatives to increase employee awareness of compliance standards and ethical expectations.
-
Maintain accurate documentation of compliance program activities, including SOPs, training completion, and policy acknowledgements.
-
Build and maintain compliance program metrics and KRIs/KPIs; produce dashboards and executive-ready summaries using strong spreadsheet skills and reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau). Support the corporate records retention program by partnering with departments to ensure adherence to UKG’s records retention policy and schedules.
-
Provide timely assistance for internal and external audit requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO27001).
-
Drive change management for compliance initiatives: develop communications plans, coordinate enablement activities, capture feedback, and track adoption to improve sustainability of new processes and tools.

-
Working knowledge of key elements of an effective compliance program (policies/procedures, training & communications, confidential reporting, third-party risk, continuous improvement).

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Jobs at UKG Jobs
Align your background with UKG's product stack
UKG builds workforce management and HCM software, so Operations roles here often require familiarity with platforms like UKG Pro or UKG Dimensions. Framing your experience around SaaS implementation, workforce analytics, or process optimization signals immediate fit to hiring managers.
Target roles that map to specialty occupation criteria
H-1B eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Operations positions tied to systems analysis, business process engineering, or implementation consulting at a software company carry stronger specialty occupation arguments than general coordinator roles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Operations openings
Sponsorship-eligible Operations roles at UKG don't always surface on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse current openings filtered by visa type and role function, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility before applying
F-1 students on OPT should verify their degree field qualifies for a 24-month STEM extension before relying on it to bridge to H-1B sponsorship. A STEM-eligible degree in a field like information systems or industrial engineering materially extends your runway at UKG.
Understand UKG's H-1B filing window relative to your start date
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing at UKG in Q3 or Q4 and aren't in an exempt category, work backward from that deadline to ensure your offer and I-129 preparation align with USCIS's annual registration period in March.
Prepare documentation that supports a prevailing wage determination
For H-1B and green card filings, DOL requires UKG to certify it will pay the prevailing wage for your role and location. Having an accurate job title and detailed duty list ready accelerates the Labor Condition Application and, eventually, PERM if an EB-2 or EB-3 pathway follows.

Find Operations at UKG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UKG sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, UKG sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Operations positions. Roles centered on systems implementation, workforce management analysis, or process engineering tend to meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements most cleanly. If you're a cap-subject candidate, UKG would need to register you in the annual H-1B lottery, with a potential October 1 start date if selected.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at UKG?
You can apply directly through UKG's careers portal or browse sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can focus on positions where international candidates are actively considered. Tailor your resume to UKG's HCM and workforce management product areas and be explicit about your current visa status in your application or initial recruiter conversation.
Which visa types does UKG commonly use for Operations hires?
UKG sponsors H-1B visas for experienced Operations professionals and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Operations roles may also be eligible for TN status. For longer-term pathways, UKG has filed EB-2 and EB-3 green card petitions for Operations employees, typically through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does UKG look for in Operations candidates who need sponsorship?
UKG's Operations roles generally require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or engineering, combined with experience in SaaS environments, workforce management platforms, or implementation projects. Candidates with hands-on experience in UKG products or comparable HCM systems, along with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills, are well-positioned for sponsorship consideration.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for an Operations role at UKG?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates can start immediately while UKG prepares an H-1B registration for the next lottery cycle. Cap-subject H-1B approvals won't take effect until October 1 at the earliest. Green Card sponsorship through PERM, EB-2, or EB-3 typically spans one to three years depending on your country of birth and priority date backlog.
