Frame your experience around enterprise deal cycles
UKG's Strategic Business Development roles center on complex, multi-stakeholder sales in HR and workforce technology. Tailor your resume to show experience navigating long sales cycles, not transactional wins. USCIS reviews specialty occupation claims closely, so your materials need to reflect the analytical depth the role demands.
Target UKG's industry verticals strategically
UKG's business development focus spans healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and financial services. If your background aligns with one of these verticals, lead with that in your application. Hiring managers in enterprise software weigh industry fluency heavily when evaluating international candidates who also require sponsorship.
Clarify your OPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window before your first interview. UKG's offer and onboarding timelines for strategic roles can run several weeks. A shorter OPT window may require STEM OPT extension planning or an earlier H-1B cap filing conversation with the recruiter.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to browse Strategic Business Development openings at UKG filtered by visa type. This surfaces roles where sponsorship is confirmed, so you spend your outreach on positions where your immigration situation won't disqualify you at the screening stage.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
For H-1B or EB-2 petitions, USCIS will require that your degree directly relates to the role. If you hold a three-year bachelor's degree or your credentials are from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before an offer is on the table.

Find Strategic Business Development at UKG JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UKG sponsor H-1B visas for Strategic Business Developments?
Yes, UKG sponsors H-1B visas for Strategic Business Development roles. Because these positions require specialized knowledge of workforce management technology and enterprise sales strategy, they generally satisfy the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to H-1B petitions. Your offer letter and job description should clearly reflect the analytical and degree-level requirements of the role to support the petition.
Which visa types does UKG commonly sponsor for Strategic Business Development roles?
UKG sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization path for Strategic Business Development roles. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, as well as TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, UKG has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does UKG expect for Strategic Business Development roles?
UKG's Strategic Business Development positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in enterprise software or SaaS sales. Familiarity with HR technology, workforce management platforms, or consultative selling to large organizations strengthens your candidacy. For sponsored roles, your degree and work history need to clearly align with the specialized nature of the position.
How do I apply for Strategic Business Development jobs at UKG?
You can search for open Strategic Business Development roles directly on UKG's careers page. To find roles specifically filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, Migrate Mate lists verified UKG openings by visa type so you can prioritize applications where your immigration status is a match. Before applying, review the job description carefully to confirm the role's requirements align with your degree and experience for sponsorship purposes.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship for a Strategic Business Development role at UKG?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, the cap registration window opens in March and approved petitions take effect October 1. If you receive an offer outside this cycle, UKG may bridge your employment on OPT while filing in the next cycle. For TN visa holders, status can begin on your start date without the cap constraint. Align your job search timeline with these windows to avoid gaps in work authorization.
