The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a NeuroOphthalmologist. The rank of appointment (Assistant/Associate) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.
Primary focus will be outpatient and/or inpatient clinical practice with teaching opportunities relating to residents, fellows, medical students and may include opportunities in research efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide expert clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology.
- Document findings, plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care.
- Maintain records and statistics in accordance with department policies.
- Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
- Participate in departmental collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center.
- Participate in department's continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
- Provide education to other health care professionals.
- Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision.
- Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Active or eligible for a State of Ohio Medical License
- Completion of residency training in Neurology or Ophthalmology
- Completion of 12-month neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training program
