Faculty Lecturer Position – Department of Health & Clinical Sciences
The Department of Health & Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Kentucky is currently accepting applications for a full-time 11-month lecturer (non-tenure eligible) faculty member to begin employment for Fall 2026. Primary duties for this position will include teaching in the Clinical Leadership & Management undergraduate program. We invite you to become part of a supportive community of dynamic and dedicated faculty focused on being national leaders in instruction, research/scholarship, and service to impact others positively.
The Clinical Leadership & Management (CLM) Program is fully certified by the Association of University Professors of Health Administration (AUPHA) and is also Essential Employability Qualities (EEQ) certified by QA Commons. It prepares future healthcare leaders and administrators to lead as communicators, thinkers & problem solvers, inquirers, and collaborators. The undergraduate program teaches applied skills in courses ranging from leadership and business management to finance and data analytics, culminating in a senior capstone course and a two-course practicum sequence in the health administration field. CLM graduates are prepared for careers in hospital/clinic operations, long-term care, patient experience, health nonprofits, and healthcare policy and consulting, and other healthcare leadership careers, as well as graduate studies. The primary duties of this faculty position will include teaching undergraduate courses in the CLM programs, including healthcare finance, evidence-based decision-making, introduction to healthcare management, and other CLM courses as needed. The faculty member will also participate in curriculum development, advising/mentoring students, student admission activities, and other activities as assigned by the Program Director or Department Chair. Additional duties include participating in service across the department, college, and university levels. The anticipated effort for this position is Instruction 75-85%, Research/Scholarship 0-5%, Service 5-10%, and Professional Development 1-2% and will be considered based on an annual agreement.
