Frame Your Insurance Credentials for U.S. Employers
State insurance licensing is required to sell benefits products in the U.S. Research which licenses USI requires for your target market and start the pre-licensing process before you apply, so you can show readiness, not potential.
Target USI's Regional Office Hiring Cycles
USI hires Benefits Sales Executives across regional hubs rather than a single headquarters. Identify which markets have active openings and tailor your outreach to regional sales leaders, since hiring decisions often sit at that level.
Understand the LCA Requirement for Sales Roles
For E-3 and H-1B sponsorship, USI's HR team must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the offered wage meets prevailing levels. Know that this step happens before your visa petition, and factor two to four weeks into your expected start date.
Align Your Start Date with OPT Cap-Gap Rules
If you're on F-1 OPT and your program end date falls before a confirmed offer date, confirm whether you qualify for a cap-gap extension. USCIS automatically extends work authorization for eligible students, but you need a timely H-1B petition filed by your employer to trigger it.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active USI Openings
Benefits Sales Executive roles at USI are posted across multiple markets simultaneously but close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter USI's open positions by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, not assumed.

Find Benefits Sales Executive at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Benefits Sales Executives?
USI Insurance Services has sponsored work visas for Benefits Sales Executive roles, but H-1B sponsorship for sales positions depends on whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree field, such as finance, business administration, or risk management, are more likely to qualify. Confirm the specialty occupation basis with USI's HR team before the offer stage.
How do I apply for Benefits Sales Executive jobs at USI Insurance Services?
Apply through USI's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse current Benefits Sales Executive openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When you apply, tailor your resume to emphasize consultative B2B sales experience, existing book of business if applicable, and any U.S. insurance licensing. Recruiters at USI screen heavily for market familiarity and sales production history, so lead with measurable outcomes.
Which visa types are commonly used for Benefits Sales Executive roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has sponsored E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and F-1 OPT and J-1 exchange visitor status for early-career candidates. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree field, and career stage. E-3 is often the fastest path for Australians given no lottery and a straightforward employer-filing process.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Benefits Sales Executive candidates?
USI typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, plus demonstrated experience in consultative B2B sales or employee benefits consulting. State insurance licensing, such as a Life and Health license, is required before you can sell and is often expected at or before your start date. Prior experience managing employer group accounts is a strong differentiator.
How do I time my application around visa sponsorship and licensing requirements?
Start your state insurance pre-licensing coursework before your offer, since most states require a licensing exam before you can begin client-facing work. Build in four to eight weeks for DOL Labor Condition Application filing and visa processing after an offer is signed. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply at least 90 days before your OPT end date to allow time for a sponsorship transition without a gap in work authorization.
