Frame your PM experience around proptech
Zillow evaluates Program Managers on their ability to ship product in data-heavy, marketplace environments. Reframe past experience around systems like MLS integrations, real estate data pipelines, or platform scaling to signal direct relevance before your application lands in review.
Identify open roles by product area
Zillow's PM hiring clusters around specific verticals like Rentals, Mortgages, and Listing Experience. Targeting roles aligned to your domain expertise makes sponsorship conversations easier, since the employer can justify the specialty occupation tie to your specific background.
Clarify your visa type before recruiter screens
H-1B and TN eligibility requirements differ significantly. Knowing which visa you need before your first recruiter call prevents mismatches mid-process and signals maturity. USCIS defines specialty occupation standards that Program Manager roles at tech companies like Zillow routinely satisfy.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Zillow PM openings
Searching broadly wastes time on roles without sponsorship intent. Use Migrate Mate to surface Program Manager positions at Zillow that match your visa type, so you're applying to roles where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Zillow's immigration attorneys will assess whether your degree field aligns with the Program Manager role description for the H-1B specialty occupation determination. If your degree is in a tangential field, gather evidence of progressive responsibility and technical scope before the I-129 filing stage.
Understand Zillow's PERM timeline for Green Card sponsorship
If you're targeting long-term status, ask during offer negotiation whether Zillow initiates PERM for Program Managers and at what seniority level. DOL's PERM process typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed, so starting that conversation early matters.

Does Zillow sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Zillow sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The role typically satisfies USCIS's specialty occupation requirement given the technical complexity of Zillow's real estate and data platforms. Sponsorship is generally available for both new H-1B petitions and transfers from existing H-1B holders, though final eligibility depends on the specific role and your background.
Which visa types does Zillow commonly sponsor for Program Managers?
Zillow sponsors a range of visa types for Program Managers, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students currently in the U.S., and J-1 for eligible exchange visitors. For longer-term pathways, Zillow also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for qualifying employees, typically after a period of full-time employment.
What qualifications does Zillow expect for Program Manager roles?
Zillow's Program Manager roles generally require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, business, or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional technology programs. Familiarity with real estate data systems, agile delivery, or marketplace product development strengthens a candidate's profile, particularly for roles tied to Zillow's MLS, rental, or mortgage platforms.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Zillow?
You can browse open Program Manager positions on Zillow's careers page and apply directly. If you need visa sponsorship, using Migrate Mate lets you filter Zillow's openings by visa type before applying, so you're not spending time on roles that don't match your authorization status. Tailor your application to the specific product area the role covers, since Zillow's PM teams are organized by vertical.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Zillow?
If you don't already hold an H-1B, the cap-subject lottery runs once per year with a registration window typically in March and an October 1 start date if selected. Securing an offer by February or early March gives Zillow's legal team time to prepare your registration. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, Zillow can file a petition year-round and you can start work once USCIS issues a receipt notice under portability rules.
