Frame your AV program experience precisely
Zoox TPM roles typically require cross-functional ownership across hardware, software, and safety systems. Tailor your resume to show specific examples of managing interdependencies in complex engineering programs, not just project coordination or delivery management.
Understand Zoox's specialty occupation framing
USCIS requires that H-1B roles qualify as specialty occupations. For a TPM at an AV company, your background in systems engineering, robotics, or computer science strengthens the petition far more than a general business or management degree alone.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Zoox and need H-1B sponsorship, aim to receive an offer by February so your employer can file during the registration window without rushing LCA preparation with DOL.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open TPM roles at Zoox
Zoox posts Technical Program Manager openings across multiple teams and product areas. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Zoox TPM roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions already confirmed for international candidates.
Ask recruiters about cap-exempt filing options early
If you're currently on OPT or CPT and working with a qualifying research institution, ask whether a cap-exempt H-1B route applies before your work authorization expires. This affects how quickly Zoox can file and whether you need to wait for October 1 start dates.

Find Technical Program Manager at Zoox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zoox sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Program Managers?
Yes, Zoox sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Program Manager roles. As an autonomous vehicle company with deep engineering teams, Zoox consistently files H-1B petitions for technical program and project management functions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every opening, so confirm directly with the recruiter during initial outreach whether a specific role is open to international candidates.
Which visa types does Zoox commonly sponsor for Technical Program Managers?
Zoox sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for Technical Program Manager roles, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates. The right visa depends on your nationality and current status. Australians can pursue E-3, Canadians and Mexicans can use TN, and most others will go through the H-1B cap process.
How do I apply for Technical Program Manager jobs at Zoox?
Browse open Technical Program Manager positions at Zoox through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include visa sponsorship so you can confirm international candidates are welcome before applying. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply through Zoox's careers portal and flag your visa requirements clearly in early recruiter conversations to avoid misalignment later in the process.
What qualifications does Zoox expect for Technical Program Manager roles?
Zoox TPM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, along with experience managing complex hardware-software programs. For USCIS H-1B purposes, a degree in a relevant specialty field is important. Candidates with AV, robotics, or systems engineering backgrounds are well positioned, particularly if they have experience driving programs across hardware and software teams simultaneously.
How do I handle visa timing if I receive an offer from Zoox?
Timing depends on your visa type. E-3 and TN approvals can happen within weeks, while H-1B sponsorship through the annual lottery means an October 1 start date at the earliest. If you're on OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period before signing an offer. USCIS cap registration opens in March, so offers ideally need to be in place by late February for H-1B filing.
